New Owner looking for suggestions and ideas ! Bought truck from Dodge dealer who got it as a trade in Ct, it had 31 thousand change miles on it.First most important dealer gave 60 day warranty and it has balance warranty from GM,I've heard some clunking at low speeds a few times going real slow where I thought someone hit me in the back.I talked to one Gm dealer and he said that's a characteristic of 8 speed. I feel I should have this checked  out ! Suggestions Please. Also need some suggestions on accessories, rear matts, hood deflector, (maybe front matts it has Weather Tech but so slippery) I like GM / OEM equipment, rubber is what I prefer.Anybody want to trade wheels lol, I like FULL Chrome look vs Chrome/ dark stock wheels. I have a Weatherguard diamond toolbox that I'm keeping had it cleaned up and it will fit.I have a Full Trac Rac system from my 2004 F250 Extended Cab , still looks ok but 15 years old ,it will fit but need hardware kit, it has cab extension window guard and ladder racks and slide rails for all items including toolbox. ANYBODY make a swap like this ? I also need seat covers, I'm thinking Gm ? Rear under seat storage I know Husky is been suggested but I like GM , thoughts?

Window guards, I have Wheel  locks but look stupid ? One lug is really inset on each wheel.Whats suggested on UNDER Carriage  maintenance,  my Ford went down the tubes cause lack of knowledge on keeping That maintained also inside doors, tailgate etc ? Thanks Guys I appreciate the input ! I'm sure there will be more enough for Now , Thanks Again, Mike.

Welcome to this forum and congratulations on your new truck!  My recommendation in response to all of your questions is to simply enjoy your truck and continue reading this forum!  These trucks come well equipped from the factory and have a good warranty.  Take time to research and prioritize your wants and needs.  For example, there are several threads on floormats.  I am a fan of OEM products but after reading this forum,  I purchased a Husky product.  Taking your time will reduce future regrets!

I purchased the WeatherTech #445451 black one piece "over the hump" floor liner for my regular cab. Fits great and stays in place.  ( No Floor 4WD Shifter - Knob on dash )

I also used the WeatherTech no drill mud flaps 110036-120036 - set of 4.  However these don't hand down low enough to catch all the slush.  Might go with Duraflap Drill-Less extra long mud flaps.

Husky liners are a great way to go, factory mats have a cut out for the gas pedal, Huskies do not, full coverage. Have seen good reviews on the Carhartt seat covers, easy to clean and wear forever. You can either pursue a trans flush to put in the new and improved fluid, or ask if they can do a relearn, which at this point might not work.

I’ve got an ‘18 all terrain and I love it. I can only speak to the floor mats and the hood protector.

My ‘15 all terrain had no hood protector but did have the Husky X-Act Contour floor mats. They are really good mats and clean up nicely. I was prepared to repurchase them for my ‘18 but it came with the GM rubber mats. I’ve been really happy with the GM mats so far. As JimCost2014 pointed out, the GM ones have a cut out under the gas pedal so there is bare carpet and I don’t really understand why. One of the benefits of the GM rear mat is that it’s got a little lip spanning the rear seat that helps prevent items sliding out from under it. That’s something the Huskys didn’t have. Obviously the Husky under seat tray would really hold items the best.

I also got the Lund hood protector (textured) and it looks like it’s doing its job. I think? Don’t have any chips yet so I’m assuming it is. I personally like the looks of the textured because it’s a close match to the other black plastic on the truck like the wheel well trim, bed rail caps, rear bumper steps. I’ve seen the smoke and painted versions around town and they look really good too like the ones Dieselfan1 got (photos above). All just a matter of preference really. I’m surprised at how well that 3M auto tape holds up. I thought for sure in the temps we saw last week that some part of it would give and it would be hanging off the front of my truck in the morning. NOPE!

Take a look at the Husky X-Act Contour mats. I've done the weather tech liners before and they might as well be made of plastic. The Husky ones are a big improvement.
