It’s tight, got dialect grease and taped,

That's all I was going to recommend if you hadn't already done it.

I returned the OPT7 and just got the Putco blade. I tried finding the post from awhile back. My question is to the members that have it. Did you wire the red to 12+ or just plugged it in to the 4 pin plug I have the splitter off the 7 pin underneath. Just wondering how you guys wired it up.

Use this Y wiring harness shown in this video to hide everything/plug in behind bumper:

Instead of tapping the brake lights or any factory harness tap the Y wiring harness purchased for your reverse light like in this video:

Gonna take a gamble on a slightly older post... Since you've assured that using the Curt adapter with the Blade it doesn't sense a "trailer" is attached, is it safe to assume it won't deactivate my back-up sensor and /or camera?

Looking at purchasing a good "Fire/Ice" tailgate light bar from Amazon, soon.  Recommendations?

It does not mess with the backup sensors or camera in anyway. Or sense there is a trailer attached.
