Picked up a 19 high country with 6.2 and noticed a few days later no grill shutters, my 17 6.2 had these and everything i have red said this should have too.  Looked and everything appears to be there except the horzontal blades/fins

my sales guy looking into this for me but doubtfull i will get a answer, no parts diagrams available that i have found yet to see

Dealer just said mine doesnt have rpo code for them, others on his lot have but some dont. I still dont understand as i thought these were manditory not a option? Liked how much quicker truck warms up with them and if better mpg great too.

when time allows and parts are available i will see what is needed and if possible to add to mine, got to see if motors and wired mabey as simple as adding the fins

Ask them what the RPO code is?? I don't show one on my build sheet but then I have a 2018.

Emailed chevy customer care for my build sheet and also asked why not on the truck since not listed as a option and did not know to add or look for them, seems like they were standard

Something doesn't smell right, I just wonder if it's an error? It happens.

I don’t have them on mine nor do I see an RPO on my build sheet for them. Do you have the max trailering package too? Maybe it’s a part of the “enhanced cooling radiator”???

Mine has them. I honestly had no idea I did until I read this and checked.

It was on the next to last page of my build sheet...

RPO code:  VTI - SHUTTERS FRONT GRILLE, ACTIVE, UPR

Looks like there is a servo motor in the middle that actuates them.

Well, I no longer believe it's an error, two people don't have them and there is a RPO code now  VTI - SHUTTERS FRONT GRILLE, ACTIVE, UPR  I believe all 2017/18 have them and there is no RPO code on my build sheet.

I have them on my High Country 6.2l. Has the Advance Trailering and Z71 Off Road packages.

Sounds like there removed for nht package but im not happy about it, highly doubt any extra cooling with removed and now longer warm up time (which is what got me to looking) and more aero drag. Makes no sence

when diagrams are available will be looking into putting them back in

If it makes you feel any better, there was one guy on the Facebook group who already had to have his repaired on his ‘19. Ultimately it’s just another thing to break.

I also doubt they are plug and play. I know when there is a failure with them, you’ll get a check engine light, so there’s probably at a minimum programming involved. If the dealer can’t even tell you why you don’t have them, don’t expect them to figure out the program.

Should have almost zero difference on warm up time, drag, etc.  Be glad they aren't there as they freeze in the winter, and cause check engines lights when there is an issue.

Save your $$$ and the hassle if your truck is an actual NHT truck.
