I'll second this. Just put a full set on this week. The rears are a 15 minute job and all you need is a 21mm wrench.

Moe before you order look up the rancho# for the rears for your 2019.  It shows to be an RS99198 and the Bilstein equivalent is a 24-186742.  Those also show to fit the 99-06 trucks.  Bilstein hasnt done much to cross them or even have a listing for a 2019.  I am thinking about ordering these soon.

Thanks for the heads up buddy. Yeah i don't like the idea of changing brand new shocks. I feel wasteful but 40k+ truck shouldn't bounce like that when crossing rails and when hitting bumps on the road.

I know there are a ton of folks who like Bilsteins...but I am looking into Eibach...heard really great things about them (very comparable to Bilsteins) but American made...utilizing factory springs, cost seem to be pretty close too...(and the front level is an actual 2" vs 1.8")

What type of roads are y'all running on? I live in Northern Canada where there is A LOT of swamp. Meaning many of our roads were corduroy, which is basically a road mat made of brush and tightly stacked logs, then cover with gravel and poverty pavement. These roads shift a lot in freeze-thaw cycles and the logs leave impressions in the driving surface over time, so its like a mild whoop section with a dirtbike. I can fearlessly boogie over this terrain with my Rancho Z71 All Terrain without worry of kicking sideways. I do have much larger and heavier 10ply tires which probably help a lot over the stock SRA's but my truck doesn't bounce like many of you are reporting. I would assume your US roads are 5x better than our crap roads (trails).

Eibach is good also.  Pro-Comp SS etc...…

Problem is I lost at least maybe 1-2 mpg's but the slightly softer feel was a good tradeoff.

But the icing on the cake for me were the Bilstein 5100s.

Last spring when I had my new Bridgestone tires installed, the shop had them aired up to 42lbs upon delivery.

With the 5100s the truck still soaked up the major road imperfections, i.e. potholes , railroad tracks and no more skipping around in washboard sections.

Speed bumps became a thing of the past as well and No more bobblehead action just pulling out of my driveway.

To this day I like to stick with about 36-38 psi as it is about the best of both worlds. Better MPGs and a Better feel than 40-42 psi

Before the Bilsteins any pothole large or small dealt me a bone jarring seat of the pants feel with the Ranchos. More so in the rear of the truck.

Hi Dan! First time user and find your posts extremely informative! I have a brand new 2019 Silverado LT with the BFG KO2's and have been noticing my rear end bouncing like a pogo stick, which is why I'm here. When you installed the Bilstein 5100's, did you do all 4 our just the rear or front? My main issue is the rear end. It bounces like crazy, even on paved roads (albeit bumpy roads). Thanks for your input!

Did you grab some Eibachs? The only one I found is P/C E60-23-005-05-01- Pro-truck Shock for $94 on Amazon. No reviews for this for a 2019 Silverado LT 4x4 Crew Cab. I've read awesome reviews about the Bilsteins, but nothing on this one. Your experience?

For clarity, I have a 2016... but no, I have not had a chance to get them yet, sorry I can’t give you a report yet...probably in the next few months, had some unexpected expenses come up I’m managing...

Yep... adulting sucks! Haha!  I think for rears they seem pretty dang similar...

the two biggest differences that I have (researched) seem to be American made vs Oversees and functionally the Eibacks have a true 2” lift in the front and the Bilstiens have 1.85” (or 1.75”) ...but I’d love to hear your report when you have a chance...

I just pick up a 2017 Silverado Z71 and I’m having the same problem. Took it back to the dealership and they said it might be air pressure since it was at 47. Too high can make it too bouncy. So they brought it down to 35. Still having the problem. Are you still having the problem or did you get it fixed? If so, how? Please let me know because it’s bugging the ****** out of me.
