Picture an ECU/PCM that translates pedal position to blade angle based on flow instead of throttle angle so the 10% throttle = 10% flow and so on.

Adjustments to that table would be based on 'rate of change' in MAP v RPM. (Torque management).

Different manufactures will indeed map differently so yes they will all 'feel' different.

Very good GB. We kind of have that the BARO tables see the map in the maf and the map in the intake and can say wait the tb% is showing xxx air flow but the other map is xxx so the difference is then a value the tb tries to correct for to keep the other tables true again. Supercharger guy have issues with this as the values can be way off. Maf can't calculate the intake tube seeing that much pressure so they "break out" the map wires are cut and wire to a larger map. And just let it see open air. It doesn't default and chance our tables.

Why do you guys gotta come in here and ruin threads with all your tech talk. Every person on the gawd damn planet knows “WOT” just means pushing the gas pedal to the floor. Who gives a shit if the throttle blade doesn’t open all the way or the ****ing baro tables are off. Stop trying to be know it alls and making people feel stupid.

I know I'm going to regret taking the bait...sheeeesh….

Some dangerous assumptions going on here friend:

1.) That you speak for everyone.

2.) That anyone has the power to make you 'feel' or 'think' anything.

3.) That you know what 'everyone on the (profanity) planet knows.

4.) That no one cares about things you care about.

5.) That the ability and desire to exchange information is somehow 'showing off'.

6.) That you have the ability to demand or command anyone whatsoever.

7.) That people feel stupid when they learn something they didn't know and will not be grateful for not having to ask for it.

8.) That you somehow improve the community by badmouthing the people and information freely given in these threads

9.) That such outburst will have any positive outcome.

10.) That you have the right to control the narrative.

You have yourself a nice day there son.

I knew someone would be upset. GB response sums it up but also.
The topic was wot and is there a negative effect on the the engine. So following this logic one must first ask how can anyone but the engine with full pedal and right there is a fault in the statement. Because as stated 100% pedal is not the same a wide open throttle (wot). So in layman's terms gm thought of this in the software.
Most people don't know this so we where adding to a educational forum.
I would suggest if facts on a open forum upset you, that you steer away from posts.

The people with a high degree of technical knowledge like Grumpy and 1Slow are ASSETS to the forum. They are a welcomed break from the mouthbreathers and their mind-numbingly idiotic posts.

Lol, some people just like looking at pictures and others enjoy analyzing and coming to a conclusion as to why and what happens. Best thing anyone can do is just move on but some folks in these forums hate having the spotlight off of them and onto someone with experience and a thought.

When it comes to modern era vehicle electronics and computer controls I'm probably the least tech savvy person on this forum. That being said I do enjoy most of the "tech talk" as it both helps me to at least get an idea as to what's going on, and if something really interests me I'll do further research. Either way I'm learning and knowing more than I did before.
