Curb weight

Hi all.  I have a question about how to find curb weight on my 2019 Sierra 2500 HD.  I know about weighing it but closest scale to me is over 100 miles away..

I believe the new ones have the curb weight on one of the stickers in the door jambs.  If not you can just take the GVWR and subtract what the sticker says is your payload and that'll give you the curb weight.  Another option if you don't need the weight of each axle is to go to the local dump, if that's closer anyway.

Look at the sticker in the driver door jamb. It should list curb weight.

GVWR - payload = curb weight

Could also go to your nearest CAT scales and get it weighed.

This Weight Calculator should get you close:

Also there may be scales closer than you think. Try your local dump sight, they sometimes charge by the weight dumped. That’s where I had to go to weigh a trailer with out of state plates to get registered.

That brings up another point .... why is the front and rear axel weight combined not the same as GVWR?
