Modded.

My fog lights are on automatically with the high beams.

Thanks for all the info, I ordered a set along with the connector from Boost in order to run highs with fogs.

I’ll post some pics once installed.

Grill took me an hour to remove, get it taped up and cut out using a mini hacksaw and get the lights installed in the grill.

15 minutes to get the relay mounted to the firewall, and route and zip tie all of the cableling up so it looked nice and neat.

5 minutes to reinstall the grill

The hardest part of this job is getting the wiring thru the firewall. I used the plug in front of the door jam on the passenger side using a fish tape to thread it thru. Took me an hour to do that, then route the control switch over to the spot that I wanted it. I couldn't reach the firewall plug behind the battery without removing it. I wasn't in the mood to remove all of that stuff to get to it.

I had a wireless lighting controller as a backup just in case. Didn't need it after all and sent it back to Amazon.

can you add a picture that shows the route/plug you used to go thru the firewall?  that would be extremely helpful

I wound up using the grommet where the antenna cable goes into the cab on the passenger side.  Then ran the wire behind the dash.

Here's how I ran mine for now as I couldn't get it thru the normal firewall grommet. Needed some better tools to make that happen and the rain in the forecast cut my time to complete this job down. 3d1e2357ba46b485fee13ad15bbfb464.jpg

I too went with this KIT . Its an excellent kit  and easy install. I would strongly suggest utilizing the firewall plug on the passenger side that will bring the wires just inside the cab on the passenger side. Its a cleaner install and factory looking. I used tin snips to cut my grille and a file to make it nice and flat. The switch they provide I see as a temporary approach until someone designs a proper GM replacement switch. I strongly suggest that while you do this install you wire in the auto stop harness and this is a perfect time to wire in power for extra usb for my console wireless qi charger .

Nice.

Quick question. I could not get that cable thru the firewall to save my life. What did you use to get it thru. A coat hanger, pull tool? Enlighten me so I can pull some new cables thru there for some more accessories.

a razor knife to cut the grommet open.. a coat hangar lots of electrical tape and a little grease. BTW if you cut the connector off and resplice its much much easier

I had my set installed today. Love the look and they give a nice flood pattern.
For those who have this kit, does your red light on the switch stay on all the time? Even when the truck is turned off my red lightning is on.

I plan to get this kit for my 2019 LT Trail Boss.  Has anyone wired the relay to the positive lead for one of the fog lights, so that turning them on, would then turn on the LED bars with them?  That way you don't have to worry about running wires through the firewall and all that...
