2020 Frozen Parking Sensors

Recommended Posts

6 inches of snow today, went to leave work in my 2020 trail boss and front parking sensors went nuts. No snow on front bumper but maybe a little bit of ice melt that refroze. What is really weird is I turned them off with the button but it would not let me turn them back on. It was as if the system locked itself out.

I had this same issue once with my 2019 trail boss last spring when I first got it and they did a software update then it got warm for spring so never happened again. Then GM bought it back for other issues and gave me a 2020.

I would assume that my 2020 would have had the software update from last spring. Anyone else have this issue and a fix? I know this was a common problem with the 19s.

Meanwhile everyone in Texas and Florida are laughing at our iced up sensor problems. Glad to know it's not just me. I guess I'll just have to hit the parking sensor button right after I hit the autostop off button all winter.

I consider this a hazard front camera display stays on while driving sit vibrates continuously and reverse camera sensor show red arrow the whole time it’s being used

The hazard is the driver not cleaning their car.  Get out and wipe the sensors.

I had this happen on Christmas Eve when it was 6 degrees and snowing.  Got a thin film on ice on the sensors, place my hot finger over them and rubbed it off and then all was good.  Did it again the next day but went away after a bit probably because it warmed up above freezing.
