So, they are supposedly available for MY2020, but there are practically none to be found. Anyone know what the hold up is? I am looking to buy a TrailBoss, but I really want to drive a 6.2 before I do anything to make sure that's not the route id rather go.

I ordered mine THE day the 6.2TB was available for order.   Scheduled to build last week of December, so guessing early-mid February delivery.   The dealers are ordering units for stock, so you could probably work with your local dealer to find out when they expect those to arrive.

According to the Chevy website there are none available within a 2000 mile radius of Dallas TX.  The only filter I used was LT TB and 6.2.

All of the dealers around my area have told me that they have them on order so I would think in 1-2 months.  With that said if you buy dealer stock be wary of how many miles get put on it.  I had one dealer around here waiting for one to come in so they could test drive as they heard it "was a beast".....  When I buy new I want as close to 0 for the mileage.

Our first 6.2 TB is a Midnight and is due in February. I am waiting to drive it before I make a jump, but will probably wait until the mid cycle refresh for 2021. Hopefully they use the interior from the 2021 Suburban/Tahoe.

Highly unlikely the interior changes that drastic. But yeah I agree hope they take some queues from their new SUVs. Still though let’s GM some credit for 6.2 in more models.

You guys don't think they'll reserve that interior for LTZ/SLT and higher?

I certainly hope so... I have an LTZ now and I honestly don't think the new interior is as nice as mine is now. Even if they don't change much, I will probably pull the trigger anyway.

A guy posted a pic of his new 2020 RST with a 6.2L in one of the other threads yesterday, so that should be a good sign that we'll see some 6.2L TBs soon, also.

Waiting on the 2020 custom trail boss with the 6.2. I was thinking of ordering from a local dealer but one wanted a $3000 deposit and another a $500 deposit, both non refundable Then they only quoted me the MSRP initially and upon delivery I was told we’d work out the final price. That sounds ridiculous to me since they’d already have my deposit. I’d lose all my negotiating leverage. Anyone have any experience with ordering a vehicle from the dealer/factory? Thanks.

You will in a very bad position to negotiate the final price if you go this route!!! They basically could charge you full MSRP because your deposit it non refundable, find a better dealer that plays by the rules!!!!

Exactly this. No point paying full MSRP for a mass production vehicle. Be patient!

Yep, you all are right and in know it. I’d rather wait for the 6.2 engine. From what I’ve read, it’s a great motor and I don’t want to settle for something else. Thanks for the advice.
