I just order those OEM steps, how do you like them, any issues?

I have a set for sale that I took off of my truck if anyone is in or around the GA area. 478-365-4738.

Why are you removing those ones? I think those are some of the better looking ones....

I prefer the standard steps. These look like they belong on a Jeep to me.

I like them for the looks. Now that the truck is lifted, they don’t offer as much of a step. I think they are higher than the standard step.

The other thing I noticed was the paint is rubbing off where I step. This is after 25k miles and a year.

I may replace with amp steps

I have noticed the coating on the step plate scratches easy too. I'm not worried though, just going to remove the bolts and send the step plates to get LineX like my last set. Makes them grippy and asks for ever. If I remember right, I think it only cost me $120 to get my last set done since I dropped them off taken apart already.

I believe I read somewhere that those ones were painted stainless steel...so at least they won't rust... hoping what I read was accurate.

Added some small led lights to the steps. 5D437211-405B-4AF3-86D1-68BC10426B9F.thumb.jpeg.2dd1859a19b1a1717a5609b897e340ec.jpeg

I really like that idea! What did you tie into? I love to do the same but maybe tie into the cargo light or even it's own switch.

I tied into the dome light. They come on when the doors open or you unlock the truck...whenever the dome lights turn on. I was going to tap into the bed lights but I read they can’t handle the load from the extra lights. The way I figured it is I can just hit the unlock button to use the lights at night if needed.

Does that mean they would turn on while your driving if the kids in the back seat need some light?

Yeah I suppose but I don’t see that happing too much to me with my children. Plus there are so many darn lights on this truck already it would just blend in haha.
