2019 LTZ 6.2 with MTP and 3.73 rear end 106 top speed limited 20" rims

How did you get 3.73 rear end???   I have 3.23. Would love 3.73s. I thought highest  rear end was 3.42s in gas and 3.73 with the new half ton diesel.

I have 2019 High Country with 22s and it shuts off at 112 mph.

Had to order the Max Trailering Package. Has heavier springs and shocks and lower rear gears. Unbelievable difference with the 6.2....bit stiffer rear end ride but worth it for the launch and mid range acceleration

Max trailering package gives ya 3.42s, not 3.73s. I have the same truck, 2019 LTZ 6.2 with NHT (max trailering package).

That’s what I thought. I looked for one with 3.42 but couldn’t find one.

3.73s would be awesome to have though.

Yeah, NHT trucks are somewhat hard to come by. But the dealer here almost exclusively orders them. Pretty much every 6.2 that’s not a Denali comes ordered with it. I had a HC, LTZ and a few SLTs to pick from. The HC was the wrong color and the SLTs couldn’t get the tech package at that time so I landed with the LTZ.

From what I’ve seen, there’s not a big performance difference between 3.23 and 3.42 trucks. They are all within a tenth or two of each other to 60.

3.73 would definitely make a more noticeable difference, but only getting it with a 6 speed or a Diesel is a 👎 from me.

Is there any good reason to be going faster than that?
Some states have higher speed limits than others, and trying to make a pass in those states will require higher speed.

Also, going offroad, such as the Bonneville Salt Flats, and playing around is another good reason.

Both of those scenarios I've experienced. I hit the speed limiter on my Silverado when passing a semi on a 2 lane road. It surprised me. Fortunately, there was no oncoming traffic that I was trying to beat when I made my pass.

Ya. I have seen that too with a few 2020s. Idk if it’s a 2019 thing but I believe another gentlemen on here has a 2019 and his is 112 also. Must have changed it up for 2020. I have the Bridgestone Alenza tires. What’s does yours come with??

Obviously a recent (past 3 months) software update has reduced the speed limit on mine from 110+mph to 98mph.  Stock 18 inch rims with GY Duratrecs.

2021 Trail Boss Custom 6.2 w/20's hit 115mph on the GPS because my tires are larger than stock. Computer ends your fun at 112mph on 20's, 98mph on 18's.
