Ordering tonneau cover warning

I purchased a Vortrak cover from www.Tonneaucoversworld.com.  Upon opening the box I discovered that the Vortrak was damaged.  9 days later And I am still waiting on Tonneaucoversworld/Realtruck to send a return label and send a replacement.  I keep telling me how busy they are.  Just something to keep in mind when ordering from them.

I'm confused... you ordered a cover marked "damaged" and are now returning it because it showed up damaged?

That's interesting. I purchased an EGR Bug Shield from them (RealTruck) and I couldn't get the darn thing to bolt on my truck so I called them up on the phone and told them I didn't want it. The lady I spoke with apologized for the inconvenience and emailed me a prepaid FedEx label for me to return it within 15 minutes. I had it on its way back the same day.

Strange, how did you contact them phone, e-mail, telepathy?

I ordered my ultraflex from Amazon for this reason.  I have seen too many damaged in transit and Amazon is amazing about returns.  Thankfully I did not need to.

I would call Real Truck by phone today. Do not IM or email them. Talk to a real person. If the representative does not email you the return label at that time. The next phone call would be to the credit card company that you used to make the purchase. File a claim with them and they will more than likely return the charge on your card.

I'm looking at the Extang Xceed cover for mine, and was initially looking at ordering from RT until I found a local shop that sells at the same price with installation included.

I spoke to 4 different people.  Each time they said that they were waiting on Lund to get them a RMA.  Finally last week they said they’d send a replacement but I never received confirmation.  Friday received another email stating that they are waiting on Lund.  Never from Real Truck again!

get it from Amazon Prime, that way if there are any issues you can return it without issue.   I had one hell of a time with one from Another vendor on Amazon and lost out big time on trying to get it returned.   The vendor wanted 50% restock fee.  Amazon wound up making up the difference, but it was a lengthy process

The nice thing about buying locally is that I don't have to worry about those particular issues, I can just work with the shop on any concerns that may arise.

I've done business with these guys for quite some time now, they have always been good to work with in the past.

Did you call the credit card company? Did RT offer to send you a replacement or a refund? Did you ask for a refund or a replacement?
