Bouncy Front End Suspension

I have a 2017 Silverado WT and the front end suspension seems weak. It seems to me that the coil springs over do the stock shocks on it. If I go into my driveway , even at slow speed, it bounces like a pogo stick.

My 2002 Silverado never did this and it had 110K on it. This 2017 only has 15 K on it.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't really notice that with mine. This is my 3rd truck with front struts so maybe I'm used to it. It's not exactly a smooth truck around town with our crappy roads here because of winter but it is a truck.

Your 2002 used a torsion bar suspension with a separate shock if it was 4X4 and 2WD's had a coil spring with a shock so the ride is for sure going to act different than a strut assembly.

Maybe it’s that then, my 2002 4x4 had torsion bar, and my 2017 4x4 has a strut assembly.

Thanks for your response, I guess mine is normal then, I’ll. Have to get used to it.

My 14 WT did the same until I switched to bils[emoji6]. The used to bounce over any bump.

No problem. I got tired of the embarrassing pogo. To add to this. That pogo will prematurely wear all the bj's, tierods and cv axles if ya got em. You'll find it bottoms out on the strut bumber.

Same here, wish I'd changed the front shocks as soon as I got it. Bilstein 5100s made a huge improvement to the crashing over speed bumps issue I had from new.

I'm sure you can improve even further if you want to spend the coin.
