I had it done on my 2020 LT TrailBoss on Saturday at the dealer.  Took about an hour.  No issues so far.

Had my recall done of my LTZ and messed up the lane assist, service manager said it was only an issue with the LTZ models but had another code that fixed the recall and did not affect the lane assist. Taking mine in for the FOURTH brake recall tomorrow.

Just not going to do it on mine.

If you do not have it done and have an issue can you hold them accountable? And to me breaks goin out is far more important than lane assist not working, But I also have never use the GM app to start or unlock my truck...

I’ve never used the app either, but the other morning when I started the truck, the dash kit up with all the brake failure warnings. Turned it off and restarted and the brake lights went away but the cel light remained on and has been on ever since. Brakes still work fine. I got the recall noticea couple days ago,  but haven’t got it done yet. I live 100 mi from the dealer.

I purchased my truck last Thursday and took it into the service department this morning for the brake recall.  The service rep said it was basically a coded update for the brake module and the process involves uploading the software, much like a phone.  I got a call shortly after saying the software update was complete and the truck was ready to be picked up.

That being said, I never had an issue with the brakes to begin with.  Other issues, yes, but not the brakes.
