I know your under 36K but I have lifetime powertrain on my truck. I cannot alter driveline, emissions cats forward, or do any tuning or it is voided. Plus I have to follow the recommended service intervals.

It should be. It was installed by a professional shop. It’s a rough country lift. I don’t do any off-roading or anything like that, so it was for purely looks.
Just so you know the dealer will say that an angle or anything is out of spec because of the lift and the lift put stress on the diff, axles, and etc which caused the failure. Then you will have to prove that it is still in spec and it didn't put to much stress on it to cause the failure. Also a professional shop doesn't mean they installed correctly and checked everything. I say all this because I have been a part of this first hand that included lawyers. Good luck.

I believe they did flag it. I’ve escalated it on the phone with gm. They should be reaching out to me. They have yet to give me an explanation other than the lift. Which is illegal. I’ve got a lawyer lined up. No proof as to why it’s voided. I was gonna call another dealer tomorrow morning.

My money is on GM with this one.  Good luck, let us know who wins!

I took my 18 Silverado in to get the back window recall done in February. I also had a very slight vibration when in auto 4wd . The mechanic rode in the truck with me and said that it was pretty much normal.

I told him I'm putting a 9"lift with 37" tires on the truck and I asked about the warranty after the lift. He said as long as the lift didn't cause the damages they will fix it. We'll see.

All I can say is two words....

Exactly! It’s messed up man! I left a nasty review on their page. The problem I have is that they voided it without providing proof the lift did anything. So I asked him to show the proof that the lift caused the failure and I’ll take it to the lift shop. He said for “189 dollars an hour he can open it up and tell me what’s going on. “ so I told him that in order to deny it, they have to prove it caused the malfunction. Getting no where with them. It’s Bommaritto Chevrolet in St. Louis, Missouri if anyone on here lives near there so they can be aware.

I know very little about lifts, But I do know that rough country is one of the brands you want to avoid. Have you tried doing a search on your specific setup to see if other have encountered something similar?

Yeah I wouldn’t put a rc lift if I actually did any off-roading or anything serious. I’ve had lifts on past trucks and haven’t had any issues. It’s a better lift than what you think. The zone and bds fan boys will lead you to think otherwise. RC will also replace the items failed if the dealer would just say that the lift caused the failure but they won’t haha.

But I did research the lift afterwards to see if anyone had any issues and I couldn’t find anything but I immediately took it to the lift shop and they said the lift is perfectly fine. They were the ones that showed me the differential had shavings in it. So I took that to the dealer and told them what was going and told them exactly where to look and they still screwed me.

Take it to another dealership, don’t let them know you’ve already taken it to another dealership

Proof is being out of spec because of something purposely done to the vehicle. Like I said, been directly involved with this with lawyers and court.

I’ve got a warranty void linked to my vin now.

My dealer tried to void my warranty on my exhaust because of lift.  I laughed and said ok had them bring it up front drive to the dealer down the road and they said nada and fixed my issues.  Same dealer also replaced my transmission under warranty with a lift...

Yup. I went to a crappy dealer. So I’ve got the BBB involved and GMs customer relations management digging into the issue. When talking with the manager of customer relations she said they have to show proof as well and then I told her I asked them to do that the dealer wanted to charge me 189 dollars an hour to look. I’ve got that in email from him as well. I told her this and she was flabbergasted. Diving deeper I took it back to the lift shop and they did their own digging for me for free. They flushed my differential at a shop down the street and paid for it and had them look at my differential. They said it’s perfectly fine and the same as any other Chevy. Then the lift shop relayed that it might be my dealer throwing a shot at their shop because the dealer uses a guy that lifts their trucks right down the road from their lift shop. In any instance it’s wild they were able to put a hold on my warranty and then charge me for something I didn’t need. ****** they might have not even put a new one on
