Dumb, but the model year is basically over anyway. Can’t be more than another month until 2021 production I would think.

It’s not that bad of a combo. I have 10.5k miles on a 5.3/8 that I’ve put on it in 3 months. Haven’t had one problem and it feels peppy as hell. Feels faster than my personal crewcab 6.2.

When it comes to OWNING THE BOF Large SUV market....You better bet GM has nothing but 5.3l and 10speeds for it!  Arlington GROUND ZERO for MONEY!

By the way...these puppies are chiseled and about as GOOD AS THEY GET!  Nice product GM

probably outsourced the trans parts for the 10 speed from some Asian or Mexican country.  everything is on hold ..

Other users have mentioned it. It happens when it's cold outside and you shift it in "D" and it feels like a car just hit you in the back with the loud thud. That is why I now start it remotely before getting in, it helps quite a bit.

Ok, might be because it’s a balmy 80+ here in the mornings but I haven’t experienced that at all. Maybe when it gets colder?

 

The other possibility is that this truck is an LT. I wonder if the lack of “technology” on it is why it’s never given any issues versus my 6.2 AT4.

Has to be colder for sure. I don't know if it's "all" or just some of them. I don't think reliability is an issue, it's just that thud.

Meanwhile Ford just gave their basic work truck XL models with the 3.3 a 10 speed as well . 

Gotta love the Corp games/cheapness GM plays. DUMB is a great word that was used above 

Ford brings out an actual Jeep fighter and does not tarnish the Bronco name and GM gives us a watered down mommy cruiser mall Blazer/Trail Blazer . 

GM Sticks the wheezy 3.6 truck engine in their Caddy XT6 while the base engine of its main competitor the Lincoln Aviator gets a 415 HP Twin Turbo V6  

I love GM just as much as anyone on here but some stupid decisions being made .
