From the stand point of owning the multi pro tailgate why would you get it?  And how do you use it?   If you own one, would you prefer to delete it?

I did notice the delete option is gone on the 2021 configurator.

So I really didn’t care either if I had it or not coming from standard GM tailgates. I was very pleasantly surprised that it comes in handy way more often than I had anticipated. I’m not in construction nor do I use my truck as a “work” truck. I am in the garage (man cave) a lot and my kids love hanging out with dad and listening to music while sitting on the tailgate that’s perfect for them now. I also tow our camper, get groceries and house supplies, move furniture and haul boxes, scrap to the dump. Loading and unloading is more easier with the drop section along with the constant in/out of the bed when un/loading. All in all, it wasn’t a selling point for me in in particular but I’m very glad I have it now.

I thought it was a gimmick, a sham, it was dumb. I like less, unneeded body line breaks.

Its surprisingly a good tailgate, the flip down helps me step up into the bed easier. I did like the bumper steps before the tail gate (had a 2018) and stepping on the tailgate is much better in my opinion. I like my side to side space when stepping up into the bed.
I have lower back issues, being able to not extend as much loading a 80 pound sack of cement when the gate of the gate is down is nice.

I use it mainly to step up into the bed and I like it. I thought it was stupid when I first seen it and did prefer a solid gate. Now that I have it, it’s nice and convenient.

I like it. Had to pick up ATV ramps that were longer than bed. Put the top part of the gate down only and let the ramps stick out. No worries of them sliding out. Didn't have to leave the tonneau cover unlatched and sitting on ramps. It makes a real comfortable sitting area too.

Same as everybody above. It looked gimmicky at first, but since I wanted other Denali features, I got it.
could not care less of it was there or not.

I have the truck for 9 months now, and almost always, when I need the bed, I use one of the multi-pro configuration. It is so convenient to shorten the gate when loading something heavy, easier to climb the bed - I no longer use the bumper steps, as the gate is better, and it is one great seat when needed. I highly recommend not to delete it, unless you carry an ATV and use ramps more often than other stuff. Ramps can be used with it, but you need to be more careful.

I do like it, and its usefulness has come in handy more than I ever thought it would, but it does still feel kinda cheap to me.  Guess we'll see if it holds up to the test of time

Let me also say, I have the Kicker speaker system in my tailgate and its complete GARBAGE!  A small quality portable bluetooth speaker will blow the Kicker system out of the water... and not cost near as much.

I am a big fan of the tailgate. I use it  every time I climb in and out of the bed. Just lowering the inner section makes reaching things in the bed so much easier. I really like being able to flip the step up and carry 8' lumber without an issue. I dont load ATVs so I haven't had to deal with the weight limitations on the inner section.

Too bad they don't offer a power open and close.  I'm spoiled now with that feature on my HC.

    • We have now!  2027 GMC Sierra  Early look, but I'm a GMC guy and so far I think I like the looks of the Chevy better.
    • HD at the moment, are kinda their own deal.  How LTZ sells on those vs on 1500, there is a difference.   They are merging most of the mid trims on 1500.  LT, RST and LTZ are replaced by one trim, Silverado.  LT and RST are a BIG portion of sales.    Bad naming choice aside, the new Silverado trim will offer the spread of options that those three trims offered.  So expect to see things like the tech package for example, and memory seats.  And LT Trail Boss will now just be "Trail Boss" (formerly LT Trail Boss) but will offer content spread like the new Silverado trim will.  The press photos showed the Trail Boss (formerly LT Trail Boss) has access to Super Cruise now, which on the current truck was High Country only.       Here is the Trail Boss interior.  Memory seats and Super Cruise are present.  All things the LT Trail Boss it replaces, and the RST it was based on didn't get on the current gen.  You had to go to LTZ or ZR2 for memory seats, and High Country for Super Cruise.
    • I installed a Hellwig rear sway bar on my 21 Sierra SLT, it made a huge difference on how the truck handles, no body roll, the trucks much more planted now. Not sure of the suspension differences between the 21 and 26,  if its body roll your having a sway bar will solve it.
    • So a follow up and my fix. I found in online searches the live data to look at on a scan tool to verify the fuel tank pressure sensor was working.  It showed an spec number towards the lower end of the rang, but in spec.  Then while it was running opened the gas cap and the pressure should change.  It didn't change even a tiny bit.  The data for the purge valve said it was open...never changed. So then I measured the voltages on the plug for the fuel pressure sensor and they matched what it should be.  So local car quest parts had the sensor in stock...it was a bit of a pain to remove and an even bigger one to get it to actually go back in.  It helped to unbolt the driveshaft and bungie cord away from the gas tank to give a bit more room to work. So fuel tank pressure sensor in I cleared the code, and started it up.  I went to the scan tool's live data and... Eureka! The pressure number was different and fluctuated a bit.  So took it on a short drive and pressure number varied saw the purge valve go from closed to open and back to closed.  Drove it to and from work for roughly a week plugged in the scan tool no codes.  I took it in to get tested and passed.  In my state's infinite wisdom (oops meant greed), since I pushed the test with the maximum extensions I have to take it back in by Feb '27 to 'get it back up to date', then my next test won't be until Feb '29.
