Below is an example on why I love this color. Looks different depending on the lighting and the angle. First shot was on a gloomy, rainy day. Looks like a charcoal gray. Next one was overcast and clear. You can see hints of a blue-ish gray.

Hey guys I'm wanting to paint my 56 chevy truck in the shadow gray metallic color, I got my gallon of paint mixed and it's got a very obvious violet or purple shade to it. I've not noticed this on any other shadow gray metallic paint yet... Do you guys see it in any of your trucks?

It definitely has a shade of blue/maybe purple tint to it depending on the light. I think the post above yours highlights that.

Originally I wanted the SS but in the end I went with the Shadow Gray. No regrets at all. Love the color.

I'm in still flip flopping on the badging. I'm can't decide whether to remove the Texas Edition, or change it to black.

I already changed the Z71, but not sure if I'm liking it... Any thoughts?

We were trying to decide between Satin Steel and Shadow Gray. Went by the dealership to see the colors in person first. We loved Shadow Gray and don’t regret it at all. We had a Wrangler that was Silver before this. Stain Steel was too close to that color.
