Performance?  Not likely

I'm going to be doing one because I want to clean up the engine bay and, in my experience, it does add a little throat to the intake noise

Agreed, I did the same, Borla with CAI, like the throatier intake noise and the clean looking engine bay.

I just did the Airaid Jr. on mine.  I wanted to keep the stock airbox in place but wanted to get rid of the ugly and restrictive resonator box.  Nice and clean-looking tube now.

Get one. You’ll love it. GMs performance one is nice. RotoFab and S&B are also great.  I have an S&B on mine and love it. Idk if you can go wrong with any of the three I mentioned. Good luck ?

I put a Cold Air Inductions intake on mine.  Was there a performance improvement?...slight but not much.  Throttle response was slightly better on freeway speeds.  Worth the $300+ dollars?  Personally I don’t think so based solely on performance.  It did clean up the engine bay nicely and I don’t have to change my air filter ever so I guess that’s a plus.

Just be careful when you clean re-oil the filter that you don't over oil it.  That can cause problems.

FYI... I just updated the thread I started on the S&B CAIs. They are delayed a minimum of 3 months at this point. Ordered mine at the end of September and just received an update that I should receive it the last week of December. I hear all good things about them though... hope it worth the wait.

We recently added the Rotofab to our 2020 Denali. It took about an hour, a good 20 minutes was spent messing with that intake tube inside the front grill, before I realized I just have to move it out of the way to the point I could still install the foam seal on the end of it and have room to drop in the RF air box. Videos show people taking it out of the truck, mine wasn't coming out no matter what I did.

There is better throttle response, and I feel a bit more gas mileage perhaps. A much CLEANER engine compartment though!

Spoke to my dealership.  They have 3 S&B CAIs in stock but he said once they run out, like you said, they are on back order.  Decided to go with S&B over the GM intake.

You won’t be disappointed. They have the best air flow out of any CAI. I really like mine and the throttle response is more crisp. Especially in sport mode. Congrats on the purchase.
