Any opinions on the best/easiest paint chip touch-up kits? I have about 4 chips on the hood from interstate/highway driving. I heard one occur yesterday that made me cringe. In hindsight, I probably should have got the PPF added when I first got the truck...but my driving consisted of city driving 90% of the time until just recently. Hopefully touching up will be a little easier since I have the basic summit white color. Thanks!

Www.Automotivetouchup.com is a good site. I have used their pens and they work well.

I second the automotive touch up...ordered the 1/2oz jar of color (Satin Steel) and another of clear with a pack of the micro dabbers...perfect match!

This is the good stuff, and the micro-tip applicators are great.  I've used this brand several times.

^^^^Agree with above. They're here in Louisiana and a few hrs from me.  I've used the for many years on different colors with no issues and always a perfect match. I always get good quality small craft brushes of different sizes at a paint hobby store depending on the size chip.

I always buy a paint pen with my paint code from GM. I find them on ebay with the ac delco part number, works fine.

Haha, yea, I have a jar of paint, clear coat, and a 100pack of the micro dabbers in my cart.

Wow, this looks very interesting.

Blends better than any paint pen I have ever used.

Great info on the "Dr. ColorChip", I ordered one for all of my vehicles!!

It is the first thing I buy when I get a new vehicle.

I've tried Dr. Color chip. Wasn't happy with the end result. It's the easiest way but not the best end result. Just puts a little color in the chip but the chip is still there and can feel it with your fingernail. It smears paint outside the chip and if you use the solvent too close to the chip it removes the paint in the chip. It also doesn't build it up to a level with the existing paint. It's just for the amature I guess. I don't use pens. I build up the chip with base and clear using quality brushes for the size chip/scratch, wet sand until flat and buff. Can't tell and looks amazing. Just my opinion.

Yea, I was afraid of that. That’s what held me back on trying Dr colorchip.
