IOR radio firmware update?

My IOR radio is still listing a pretty old build date and I’m wondering if anyone has one that’s newer. I’ve tried connecting to wifi and still no update is available. Not sure what updates would do n particular but just wondering. Was kinda hoping they implemented some apps but likely not.

 

And on that note, why do these things even have the LTE option? There’s literally no feature other than a wifi hotspot available to utilize the cell service.

That is a good question.  Mine has not taken any updates in about 9 months.  I wonder if there is a way to check what the latest is other than the dealer.  I googled it and got nothing.  I still occasionally get the blue screen of death when in reverse but it is not repeatable.

My Bluetooth still doesn’t work worth a damn. Turns the ringer volume down and I still miss calls if I’m not looking

For an iPhone, turn off “change with buttons” in “sounds and haptics”

It’s been off. Hasn’t worked since I got this truck. Thank you for the thought though.

Yeah when I start my truck I can see the audio level on my phone go down to near zero on the screen of the phone. I’ve been told it’s an Apple issue.

I have the IOT radio in my 2019 LTZ Silverado, I have had several OVER THE AIR UPDATES since purchasing it new, in fact I just got one yesterday which it says was an ONSTAR UPDATE 6.6. I took a picture and attached it showing all the updates.

Is yours the same version as mine in the original post? It has an update feature, so seems odd that it wouldn't be able to update.

Yes... What I heard is although IOR has an update feature, actually it cannot be updated. Sad...

Can you tell me what version yours states in the System -> About screen? I just took mine in today and they said they updated the software and calibrations, but the same version is showing on the radio sc reen. However my home screen seemed to be all messed up so they did something to it.

I also have a data plan for my truck.  I'm not sure it that matters.  If you don't have a data plan you might want to connect your infotainment system to your home wifi and try to update that way.
