HUD Windshield Cost & Loudest Exhaust

Considering a 2021 LTZ 4WD Z71 w Technology Package:

 

1.  How much more does it cost to replace a HUD windshield?

 

2. BORA does not offer their loudest exhaust for the 5.3L, any other options with the Z71 exhaust (under bumper)?

Afaik, it's the same windshield.

 

HUD info is projected from a unit in the dash. 

(similar to the small unit that projects the dots on the forward collision warning, but a larger projector) 

 

HUD was one of those options that I figured was just a gimmick.

Turns out it's a 'gimmick' that I'd like on them all....

Dunno what they cost but they are definitely different. Mine has “HUD” stamped on it. A normal windshield would reportedly cause minor ghosting of the HUD image.

Generally for most people the windshield is free.  Carry a $0 comprehensive and whatever for your collision.  Windshields are almost always comprehensive coverage just insist on OEM.

Windshields are safety feature/HUD specific.  There's one for no HUD/forward collision, and there this the HUD/forward collision one.   

 

HUD windshield retails for about $600.

 

Corsa's Sport line packs a good punch with no drone.  Here's mine on my 2019 old body 5.3:

For the exhaust, the most cost effective option would be to cut out the muffler, resonator, and the flapper, and then add a y-pipe for dual exhaust out the back.  I'd recommend leaving the cats on as I did.

 

I did this on my previous 2014 5.3L and it sounded great.  Here's a link to an old video of a cold start of my truck.
