My kit should be here on Thursday and plan on having it installed on Friday. From all the reading and what not I have done, it looks like they do not recommend going over the second slot. However, the second slot only adds 1.9" with springs. This wont quite level my truck as the rear measures at 33 1/4" and the front measures 31 3/4". There will still be about half an inch difference between the fronts and rears. How noticeable will that be? Thanks.

Hello. I had my mechanic install the shocks and coils. I only leveled my truck. I do know my mechanic set the clip all the way to top in terms of setting minimum/maximum height. I purchased 275/65/R20's Falken Wilpeak, which drive fine, no real noise. and did get 1" from that alone.

I hope this helps.

Here is mine with recommended settings, also the rear shocks and 2in block from RC. Same set up as Trail Boss.

Self install was super easy and saves money if you are able to do yourself.

Mine is level and the ride quality is night and day difference!

I installed some Kenda Klever AT2s.20211108_170417.thumb.jpg.74d2e955fcc9db8e580c76b5744b691a.jpg

Yours is level after you added the 2" rear block? Looking at the instructions, it only adds 1.9" with springs on the recommended settings. Kinda confused how yours leveled out after added more to the rear.

Kit is installed. Looks pretty nice but I am surprised the measurements around all four corners did not remain even. Each corner is now measuring something slightly different. Drivers rear is a bit over 34", passenger rear is about 1/8" under 34", drivers front is about 1/8" under 34 and the passenger from is 1/4" under 34. I guess the only one that really bothers me is the passenger front being 1/4" lower. Its only an 1/8" vs the other side but more than 1/4 vs the drivers rear. Would this be considered normal and nothing to worry about or is something incorrect?

Drive it around hard and I bet you’ll see the numbers change.

Driver’s side is often set a little higher due to the vehicle ALWAYS having a driver on that side.

Ahh, didnt think about that. Makes sense. Is it going to hurt anything that it went slightly over 2" in the fronts? Seems everyone says anything over 2 will damage the UCAs.

Is there a sign when one starts going bad? Never had to deal with it before lol. I do love the way she looks though lol.

I think you’re looking at it with too much scrutiny. It doesn’t matter.

Eibachs are very robust shocks and I doubt they will go bad before you sell the truck.  I believe there is a million mile warranty or something crazy like that, but I dont know if it is for factory related defects or more.  I've had mine on for 30K miles and they feel like they did the first day I installed them.

As far as what it will feel like when they go bad, my factory Rancho shocks were shot at 20K and the truck "porpoised" over bumps in the road.  Another description would be "Pontooning" where the front end continues to rise and fall for a period of time after going over humps, speed bumps, etc.  When I removed the shocks there was an oily residue on the shock shaft and dirt and grime residue surrounding the orifice of the shock housing.

Dont worry about your measurements being off, the suspension will settle and things will start to line up.  No matter what shock or suspension package you go with though, all four corners will RARELY be spot on so expect to see variances in height.  Also, make sure all tire pressures are even before taking measurements.

Congrats on the setup, its a quality suspension system and if you ever tow or go off-road driving you will notice a HUGE difference over the factory suspension.

Thanks Gangly. However, I meant what are the signs of an UCA going bad. I remember seeing the million mile warranty for the shocks. Its one of the reasons why I went with them. Ill never need another set until the warranty is gone on the truck and I have a 6" lift put on it.

The Ranchos definitely sucked. Was the absolute worse ride without having a bad shock that I have ever had. Not sure why they even bother using that garbage. I had to go over speed bumps every day going to work so know exactly what you mean by continuing on to bounce.

Kinda figured it would settle but always good to be sure. As for measurements, you never want to measure from the ground, you always want to measure from the bottom of the wheel. The wheel to the fender is pretty constant where the ground to the fender can change due to pressures uneven pavement etc.

Thanks. So far I am enjoying its stance. The ride itself only improved.

Looks good. Did you go with stage 1 or stage 2? How was the installation if you did it yourself?
