The credit is a "we're sorry" deal. You don't pay for the retrofit. GM will notify you when they have the parts to install. The lower trim level trucks are the ones they're keeping the parts out of. All the Denali's and AT4X's have all their parts. GMC is now even out of parts for the multi pro tailgates! I thought that was their selling point was it was standard on all GMC's but there's a couple at my local dealer that are Elevation trim and have a credit for no Multi Pro tailgate, which CAN'T be retrofitted later!

Nope - Denali's didn't have all the parts - waiting for parking sensors on mine.....

the ventilated seats I can be with out but the front and rear censors on a truck this is much needed,

Get a smaller vehicle you can handle then if you need sensors to drive. GMC makes the Terrain...

First thing I disabled. I need my truck acting on it’s own like I need another insurance policy. No thanks. I’ll pay attention when I pilot 2.5 tons through public spaces at rapid speed. I even love the cover craft dash mat that covers that stupid hud red light and also eliminating the ridiculously unsafe amount of dash reflection and glare off windshield these trucks give. Wouldn’t sweat these sensors much, sounds like a bonus miss to me.

get reliant on this shizzo and it will cost you, there’s a reason the seats vibe now when you back up and those sensors go off, before it was only beepers and if you had stereo too loud and just watched one mirror backing in you could get screwed, and welcome to my last accident in past however long without...never again, use all mirrors and back up camera, the sensors can go fack themselves, he liability is on you so best limit your reliance on those aids

heck even the factory drivers side mirror on my custom came with the built in convex but framed in, two instances where that frame had a gap that a vehicle could hide in and the convex wouldn’t show parking stall lines well, so ordered the non convex mirror and put my own 3” convex on like I do all vehicles and no more issues for both seeing people or lines. On nee flat mirror the top outside corner is where that car symbol lights up on higher trims to say don’t move lanes lol...the 3” convex covers it perfectly lol. I love how we always try to make things better and fack it up lol, but hey $2.50 at auto parts store can’t possibly be as good as the sensors and lights right?😉

To each his own. I find most of the safety features to be very useful and no one suggested they are reliant solely on the features. Front park assist helps when pulling in to park against an object and the blind spot indicator combined with looking over my shoulder works better than any convex mirror I could buy.

Just another reason not to pay these "STUPID" high prices!!! Especially when they come incomplete.  Good luck. Maybe you'll get your truck by 2024!!

If only some entity or group can force the manufacturer to give a timeline as to when vehicles sold with missing components to have it retrofitted before they build new vehicles with those same components. Dam greedy son of a butchers..

I was wet behind the ears once too, have seen firsthand what can happen when you get complacent and reliant, you'd love a Tesla. 😉

At least they give you the option to disable, I think in my truck they were for the auto-cruise part were it would stay a certain distance between the vehicle in front of you...or slam on the brakes because it saw a snow man pulling onto the driveway, or a bush pulling into the ditch to go pick up your deer. Eitherway...if I put cruise on it's to maintain speed efficiently...not get in the right lane so I can do sodoku or play with myself. My right foot stays close to that pedal on cruise and if come up on slower dude it's pass city not bend over to their chosen speed.

You have a distorted perception on how others use their trucks are able to take advantage of features you may not have a use for.

You will come to find this a gaslight. It’s the few who see what’s going on accurately. If you don’t understand what I just said you’ll be in the last group to figure it out. The answers are pretty simple though, see who’s name is on the insurance slip and you’re (YOU) are piloting 2.5 tons of death at rapid speeds through public spaces. But the masses as I just alluded to feel like drivers licenses should come in the glove box with purchase of car. They don’t wanna drive, they are destination not journey people and feel driving is a right not a privilege, that it’s a mundane everyday chore that has the same seriousness and attention levels required to make a sandwich. They don’t want to do the work required for the true responsibility required to their fellow man for the seriousness of the task. More aids, nannies and auto pilot the better. So many out there didn’t have to pass the same driving tests I did and as evidence by so many discussions on the internet by the comfort addicted masses it’s clear you have the distorted perception. Less is more, but we dug this hole, and so we live in it. So glad I get to share the road with Tesla’s. Be careful with reliance on these nannies and aids...they will come back to haunt many. Those who created them aren’t named on the insurance slip so when they fail it’s all on you.

Lol JFC. How’s the weather up there? So high up on your horse. Acting like you know what’s good for everyone else is just as much a problem with todays society as the things you describe.

Im well aware of personal responsibility, yet I know how to make the safety features ease my long highway drives. Again, no one ever said the word “reliance” except for you. And again, your perception is distorted but go ahead, continue to think you’re so much better than everyone around you.

Attack the messenger strategy. A 21st century ‘go to’ for when the message is hard to attack because the truth is uncomfortable. Anyhow, if that’s how you read it and that’s how you want to respond that’s on you.

In case you haven’t noticed it’s the few who are immune to the group think and current public perceptions which have been nudged a certain direction a very long time. And the past few years have shown just how smart it was to be with the masses ‘perception’ eh? I’ll stick to a reality truth based world regardless of comfort. The masses can keep going with the nudging towards opposite day clown world.

So what you’re saying is if it’s not the perception of the masses then it’s a distorted perception? Truth could care less what size group perceives what, it’s pretty clear that public perception can be nudged to the opposite of the truth, have you been paying attention the past 3 years?Bro...whatever makes you feel comfortable lol.

Don’t like facts? There’s no high horse being ridden here, feel about it however you like. Perceptions have nothing to do with this. Masses are comfort addicted and love being sold more and more convenience to point of having to do as little as possible and when sthf we become useless. Those are facts. Why tesla so popular? Rest my case, people don’t wanna drive. They wanna buy the drive to do other stuff while on the way. Your insurance and liability will show you very quick what a great idea that is. That’s all I’m saying here...less is more, nannies and aids are bad. Turn off as much of that crap as you can to ensure you keep the reality of task at hand every time you start that weapon/death trap.

    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
