It is time for me to refresh my 2015 Silverado 1500 HC with struts and shocks (definitely overdue), a wheel bearing that is starting to roar louder, and the Ac condenser which has finally started leaking. I already have a condenser and a wheel bearing ready to go in but am undecided on what to do about the shocks and struts. I am looking to get a little lift out of it so that why I am leaning toward Eibach or Rough country which are in my budget.

Eibach is attractive knowing it is made in the USA. I guess it would require me to buy some UCA's. The Rough Country kit comes complete so that makes it somewhat attractive to get. If I go with the Eibach kit, will I need to get a differential drop kit like with the Rough Country? I have read other threads on here that people like the Eibach set up but haven't read that they drop the differential.

Thanks. After I posted I think I found your long post about Rough Country. I think it was yours. I will just get the Eibach and upper control arms.

I'm in the same boat I got eibach stage 2 coilovers with rears and cognito UCA'S, I had the same question about diff drop I called eibach he said he thought the coilers came factory set 2.5" and did not think diff drop was needed .I said I wonder if its good for 3' I think that's what I need but could not get a good answer on that height from him about cv angles. so ill watch this tread see if you get input.

I ordered the Eibach also but have not decided on UCA's yet. I really don't want to spend on cognito's.  I wonder since they come set at 2.5" is that pretty much stock ride height? I am looking for more lift, so I am thinking a diff drop might be needed. I am going to talk to a coworker about that because he lifts everything he has and installs a lot of lifts for others.

You would think they could give you an answer seeing they are a world-Renowned company in the suspension industry. Should be a simple answer to get with all the engineers within that company. I am sure they have all that information about angles on the designs when they decided to make a set up for a particular vehicle.

OK Finally installed my Eibach kit and Rough country control arms. Everything went pretty good on the install. Found my driver side sway bar end link was broken off at the bottom. Had to make a trip to NAPA to get a new set of end links.  Installed as the came out of the box and was surprised to see that the lift on the front went from 36.625'' before and 40.25'' from the ground to the fender. Now after driving for three day the front has settled and is measuring 39.25''. I have to decide what tires to get and get a alignment. I am going to adjust the coilover just a little to make it a total gain of 3.5''. Stop by the local tire shop to as about tire size. I plan to stay with the stock 18'' wheels.  I do need to do ad a spacer since the tire does hit the control arm at full lock. Rough country does mention that you will need a .25'' spacer on their website. The guy at tire shop suggest I use a 1'' spacer because the .25'' one would take away the hub centric part of the hub for the wheel. Have a coworker who said he probably has a set of blocks for me to level the rear up once I know what I need.

After thinking about everything I may just get new wheels instead of running a spacer.

After driving for a week, I am noticing some clunking when turning a very low speed. I know I have everything tight because I double and triple check it all. Going to check again but was wondering can over torque cause the clunking?

Think I'm going to get the Eibach's as well for my 14. How do you like the ride? Are you coming from stock ranchos?

From my understanding you don't need UCAs with the Eibach 2.0s less you intend to use all the ride height adjustment that Eibach has incorporated into the coilover.

I installed the Eibach Pro 2.0 kit on my 2019 along with Congito upper control arms and Trail Boss axles.  Man, it rides so much better now than stock.  It should have come this way from the factory.

That is what they say but from what I read some say to when you get over 2.5'' lift you should think about the angle of the other components. So, I decided to get the Rough Country plus the originals had 140k miles on them. Drawback is the stock 18'' wheels do hit them and rough country say to run a .25'' spacer. Not sure if other brands are designed slightly different and do not require that. I am running without the spacer but am being careful not to do full lock turns. I plan to get new wheels along with tires.

No, I did not have ranchos. Guess just the GM brand.

Agreed anything past 1.75" i was told by shock surplus to look at new UCAs. I think I'm going to snag some on black friday with the eibach 2.0s

I decided to skip using a wheel spacer and I ordered a set of 17'' ZERO OFFSET wheels. MVX VX61 in Gunmetal. They were budget friendly. Now I am torn on what size tires. I am debating on 285/70r17 or 295/70r17. I have read and searched every site and looked at a thousand different pictures on sites like custom offset until my head spins. Any input is appreciated. I am thinking about getting the HANKOOK tires. hankook-tires-dynapro-rc10-left-01__75519.thumb.png.c4610f3d304695fd56d99f6c11bea097.pngesr-vx61-wheel-6lug-gunmetal-17x9-2000_720x.webp.be34fcb7ebdec43c1be246a0a26623ec.webp

I’ve been running method 17s NV with 0” offset with 295/70r17 for years now. This is my second set of the same tire. So collectively 100k on the methods. They do stick out a little and honestly i had planned on fender flares without rivets but idk if I’ll get around to that. It’s not terrible.

295/70r17 will rub at full lock its not terrible though and doesn’t require much trimming. My next tire is likely 285/70r17 rugged treks. Mainly cause they don’t make 295s FWIW if you get into heavy mud or clay it will throw it all over the truck due to the offset.

Good info thanks. What a muddy mess you had there!! When you say stick out how far are we talking about an inch? I can probably live with that. If i went with the 285 that would probably keep, then right at flush since they a not as wide.

I guess if I went with 285 they wouldn’t stick out? I can live with just a slight poke. Hell maybe I will get some fender flares at some point. How far out do they stick out about an inch?
