I haven’t seen car wash brushes in many years. All cloth.

Jesus lol it's cloth, I didn't realize the literal police was here 🤣. Was just meant as something funny to point out.

It looks like wire. You said brush. I remember car washes using brush. Now it’s all cloth. So to answer your question. My 3 vehicles go once a week to the cloth car wash. And no I don’t take pieces home with me.

I'd be checking into a different car wash. I use one during the winter and haven't had anything like that happen with 3 different trucks over 4 winters now.

I would look for a different car wash also. Those cloth brushes scratch the piss out of your truck.

Touchless are best.

The one I use uses cloth/chamois "paddles. My trucks are always black and I make it through the winters decent. Nothing that a morning with my Porter Cable doesn't cure in the spring.

Anyone else lucky enough to get to take home a piece of the car wash everytime? 🤣

I always use touchless car washes. Very inconvenient but almost no chance of damage/scratches to the vehicle.

I never run my cars through the automatic scratchers, When the truck is really dirty, I use a touchless wash otherwise every few days I just wipe down the panels and windows down using the ONR/Microfiber towel method. Wipe one way and turn the towel over and repeat. Takes 15 minutes tops

I cringe on the times I need to get a car wash but there is a line for touchless, so I just yolo going into the car-wash that is on the belt. My only irritation is my passenger mirror closes due to drying force.

High pressure car wash on rinse or hand wash in summer. High pressure wand doesn't clean as well as hand wash of course, dirt roads makes it tough. 6 miles of dirt road each trip.

And then it rains. But you have to admit, living on that dirt road is better than in the city.
