Oh my, those look like hot garbage lol.

And they are bias-ply tires. No thank you for any modern truck run fast freeway speeds and can tow heavy weights.

I was joking. Some of us had those and the super swampers back on our old trucks in highschool and just out.

Michelin ATX A/T 2

This is what I have now for stockers. Had them on my last truck stock too. Have always been good.

I just put on a set of the new Michelin LTX Platinums in 295/65/20.  So far the nicest riding, quitest tire I've ever had on an HD truck.

Looks like a good tire for good weather but they don’t look good for snow.

This tire would also be on my list.

I didn’t see where the Michelin Defender LTX Platinum were snow rated. Rare that a snow tire lasts 70000 miles due to a softer compound.

Hakkapeliitta LT3 studded for winter, mid-October to mid-April. First time with studs. OEM BFG KO3’s for the other time of the year.

I went with Cooper Rugged Trek, great so far.  Much quieter than expected, hardly any change from factory.  Interesting how details the siping shows up in the snow, excellent traction so far.

@CRApex They are listed as an All Season tire. Not sure where you live but hope they work out for you. You'll have to post how they do in the snow.

I would run that tire for 6 months of the year.

A couple of GMC 1500's ago came with Goodyear Wrangler SRA's. I bought the truck at the beginning of January. Tires were all season which GM charged $200 on the sticker as an AT tires. I hated those tires for the remaining months of winter, I had to run Auto or 4wd High most of the time with any amount of snow. Tires were good for summer. Ran an AT tire after that for 6 months and dedicated snow tires for 6 months.

I really can't see how they can call the Firestone Transforce ATs an all terrain tire either. Sketchy in some snow conditions here in Ontario.

They have M+S on the sidewall, but no winter/snow icon

@rjgvt I'll be sure to provide an update once it snows, I'm in MN by the way so shouldn't be too long.  I'm really hoping they do ok because they ride super nice and virtually no road noise.  If they struggle, I'll be back to the Toyo AT3 Open Country.
