It’s okay to a point. Then the usual suspect or suspects ride it to being obnoxious, then lock. Slowly they become isolated until another obnoxious person joins their destructive behavior. This thread invites some religious conversation because of the sadness with people looking for comfort.

Interesting how when a poster rebuts your well founded self belief you immediately retract to them being destructive? Genuinely interested why you are so reflexive? I think of you as a wise person. You don’t return that respect or open mindedness, why?

Our minister returned Saturday. He says it’s like a well oiled machine there. Some are already rebuilding. Some buildings are down to studs drying. So many people are helping.

What, exactly, happened on that date? I think I might be glad I missed it. I'm not a militant athiest, but I don't believe in any God sold by religion.

Most of the state is a flood zone. Most of California is a fire zone. The Midwest is a tornado zone. It gets totally cold in Alaska. Life is a crap shoot.

It's like your other thread which apparently got deleted. Everyone is about free speech and being respectful until it's an issue which offends them, then nobody is allowed to talk about it b/c hurt feelings.

Seems that way. Problem is the easily butt hurt are also easily swayed by cult leaders. USA constitution can’t survive that way without internally solid citizens.

God knows everything and he can choose to intervene or not to intervene.  Did you know that small children are referred to as innocents and should they die, they go to heaven?  Those who understand God and his plan do not fear death like the lost person.  Those who have been born-again know what happens to a person after death and that people are either with the Lord in heaven or are eternally separated in the lake of fire for all eternity.

An evangelist once told me, there are two kinds of people, saint and ain'ts.  I was once a militant atheist but was converted when I went to disprove God's existence once and for all.  I'm thankful that my name was written in the Lamb's book of life on June 13th, 2007.  That afternoon was the moment that I recognized that I was a guilty sinner for breaking God's laws and was deserving of eternal hell.  That's when I made repentance towards God and put my faith in Jesus Christ.  At that moment I was indwelt by the Holy Spirit for all eternity and given a new heart with new desires.

I still sin, but am remorseful, immediately so, when I do it.  On the other hand, I delight in knowing the Lord and having my prayers answered by Almighty God.

Don't put it off man, you don't know when your last day on this earth is going to be.

And here you are, posting with all the other fish and calling people 'piranha'. Welcome to the party, pal.

In order to enter the kingdom of God, one must be born-again.  That means making repentance to God and putting one's trust in Jesus Christ.  At that moment, the person is indwelt by the Holy Spirit for all eternity and given a new heart with new desires and now has a personal relationship with God through his son.

This is not religion.  Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

False. This "god" you speak of doesn't exist. You are of course welcome to believe in whatever fairytale you wish.

You're just going to have to let it go, and since the topic was just re-opened by a moderator, I doubt they wished for you to bring up religion.

    • .30” of rain all month and it’s been weeks since that. “Mowed” our two properties today for the first time since July 2nd. It only took 30 minutes because all I had to do was level some weeds and saplings in a few problem areas. Everything else is dead.
    • Dealer reported a failed shifter module assembly so the whole shifter is getting replaced. Yet another premature repair… up to $12,000+ in extended warranty payout in only 5 years and 80,000 miles!
    • According to the dealer it’s an internal leak/failure of the compressor.  Again, another failure that shouldn’t happen at only 5 years and 80k miles.  For some reason the compressors must be hard to come by right now, because the truck’s been at the dealer almost a week and they just located a compressor at another dealer several states away today.  We’ll see if this fixes the issue.
    • I'm not sure if this should be a reply on this thread or a new topic, let me know if it's out of place. This my first post. Thanks 85077522 - ACDelco GM Genuine Parts Brake Master Cylinders. Anyone else had to replace this brake master cylinder yet. I didn't do any brake work, it looks like new parts and I've had the truck for about 4k miles. When it started to throw codes I did the calibrations with a bidirectional scanner and got the codes to clear but they came back so i did the routine; base bleed, automated bleed and final base bleed. All that with Bosch ES16-32N fluid (please look it up). That seemed to fix it but 100ish miles later it failed again so I ran the same process but with a pressure bleeder this time and got the same results, fixed for 100ish miles. The original fluid looked bad and I thought I got most of it out. The codes; P25A2, C05B0-00, C2A1B. I can get them to clear but not for long. The C05B0 indicates a leak in the front circuit (which is bone dry) so I'm thinking of doing the bleed process on that front again today and I don't know if that's taboo to just do the front but at this point it seems like it's worth the try anyway. The new master cylinder/module unit is supposed to get here today. But now I'm pretty much convinced this install is over my head. I've called several shops and some mobile guys that I know but this thing is like radio active material scary wise. I did get 2 local shops say they should be able to do it, one says he has the SPS2 programing capability. And with the battery disconnected is there supposed to be pedal resistance, mine is to the floor, then if I pump it I can get some resistance.
    • I wasn’t commenting on your post. Certainly wasn’t arguing. I was making an observation on my long term experience with supposedly proper length of driving for proper heat cycles. Works for me. Although I have seen water or vapor come out of exhaust when vehicles weren’t run very long and shut off. It’s very humid in the morning. Then hot and humid.
