I was trying to install a set of illuminated door sills in 2024 Silverado LT. Based on the instructions here:

Part of the install requires you to insert a wire with a pin on it already into one of the connectors attached to the BCM. Unfortunately, the pin connector that goes into the bcm broke at the connection point. Here is a picture of it.

I was hoping someone would guide me to a part number in which I can order a new one, or have any other suggestions

Thank you Tase. The pigtail would work out better. As I can just connect to wires together. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it looks to be the connector.

The connector  I have the issue is copper wiring broke off as I was fiddling with it trying to get it in, connector seems pretty much intact my. Do you think solder would be strong enough to hold that together, i was thinking it might end up breaking. And then being stuck in there.

I would DEFINITELY just replace the one pin, vs using a pigtail, if just one pin was bad.  You want to minimize the possibility of introducing electrical problems, and GM recommends only having 1 or 2 splices in any wires (depends on what the wire is for), so you are using up a bunch of splices for nothing.

Buy the pigtail, or hit a junkyard and cut off a plug, but depin that one pin, and then just splice in that one pin/wire to the existing wire, sealed in shrink wrap, then insert the pin into the original connector.

And I would use a used wire w pin attached or a wire from a pigtail, vs just buying a pin, unless you are going to also buy the right crimping tool for it.  The common wire strippers/crimpers you find in local stores don't crimp it right.

I ended up buying prewired single pin connector  on ebay according to that model number. I'll just connect it to the existing wire. And then heat shrink. Hopefully that is the right pinhead. We'll have to see when it gets here. Thanks for all your guys's help.

I believe it might be a Molex MX150. That's the pin type for what's used in a connector at the rear of the truck that I had to re-pin.
