Where do you pick up the rubber washer that is on the oil drain bolt? Went to the dealer today and was told they are on back order? Advance Auto sells the bolt with the siclone washer on it. Picked up 2 so that I would have extra.

Its reusable unless its leaking.  No need to change it.  Seen these trucks with original drain plugs like 5-10 years old.

Also.  Its not on backorder.

TLDR:  Send it.  I've never changed one on any of my trucks, and they've never leaked.

I think he means he lost the rubber "O" ring gasket that's embedded in the bolt, I have had mine fall out but got it back.

How can you assume that?  OP never said that.

"Where do you pick up the rubber washer that is on the oil drain bolt?"

Where does that say it was lost?  Went missing?  "that is on the drain bolt".  Not WAS ON...IS ON.

Now you need to go back and read my reply as I said "I THINK HE IS SAYING " do to the fact I had mine come off the bolt but I found it. Iam not going to go back and forth on something so petty that you keep replying back with.

You can replace the factory drain bolt with a Goldplug with crush washers. I have one on my 2021 Yukon 5.3 and my 2024 Silverado 2500 Duramax. Never have any problems with leaks. I replace the crush washer with each oil change.

It should be the AP04 plug: https://amzn.to/3ORU6ng

Crush washers are SW-01: https://amzn.to/4dcqAAw

Had a Honda once that I changed oil in for almost 200K miles with the same crush washer with never a drip. Let a Quick Lube do a change while on a trip and they mutilated it. I think he thought he was torquing a damper assembly. 😬 The hand that rocks the cradle, eh!

I have been using felpro 70820 washers with my oil changes.  I am happy with them.  I may start reusing them now that see the current pricing on them.
