2007 SLE DIC Upgrade

i got mine yesterday. They did a lousy job packing it, looks like they threw it in the box from the 50 yard line. But it was acceptable to me, nothing broken or major scratches. Gave it a 1 minute test and it appears to work. Took me 20 minutes(my tools were scattered all over)

I paid 88.09 with shipping. took 3 weeks to get here.

They did a lousy job packing mine, too. It was a super easy install. The corners of the switch box had been scratched, so at night you could see the green/blue light shine through. I touched it up with a sharpie and looks fine.

I think I'm going to pull my panel off tomorrow and double check to make sure that the plug is in behind there. If it is I'm going to go to my local dealership and see if they know what I'm talking about.

Hey does anyone know if the DIC has the ability to give me instant MPG or is it just Average MPG. I have an 07 GMT900.

Went to the dealership today to ask them about this but I think I totally confused them. The guy there said that I needed a VIN number from a Silverado that already has this option.

This is a GM-offered upgrade, you don't need the VIN. Just give him the part number and tell him you want him to match the GMPD.com price.

I think I'm going to pull my panel off tomorrow and double check to make sure that the plug is in behind there. If it is I'm going to go to my local dealership and see if they know what I'm talking about.

Forget the dealer giving you advise. My dealer told me that it had be be re programmed to work . Just Listen to Daddy, it couldn t be more simple.

Alright I'll give that a shot next week. I'd order it straight from GMPD however I'm in Canada and they don't like us up here.
