  1. Until recently the MY GMC app key fob was free for previous vehicles.. I used it for my 2013 with out charge. Now they want an onstar subscription to be able to use the key fob on the My GMC app. Once my 30 day trial was over , it disappeared from the app. Ridiculous on a $50K vehicle...

  2. Post is legal. 1. There currently is no SECDEF 2. There is no classified information mentioned 3. There is no sensitive information mentioned such as tail numbers and locations Only plane mentioned was an F-16 which many countries have. I’ve personally worked on US, Norwegian, Belgian, and Moroccan F-16’s. I’m an F-16 mechanic. Also I’m not enlisted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  4. It went on a camping trip with about 200 miles on it. It's currently at the dealership for the bakflip tonneau I ordered previously (felt lazy and didn't want to do the install this time). It also had leather installed, plus I had tints added to match the rear and a windshield visor strip added. It's getting there already!

  6. I had a 4” BDS on my 2014 Sierra 1500 about a month ago. I love it. At same time installed 275/65R20s on my stock rims. No rubbing at all. Added rear spacers to even track. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  9. I guess I'm on the weird side or something, but in my opinion to pay what any of the new trucks cost and then actually use them off road is not my idea of acceptable. It would be better to just get an older vehicle that costs considerably less or better yet an atv or such that is purpose built for off road riding. Anyway, here's my AT4 with 22" GM Accessories black chrome coated wheels and Nitto Ridge Grapplers in an LT285/50/22 which is a 33.5" tire set up. As you can tell, they're a good bit wider than stock. I really like the way it rides and handles albeit a tad harsher, but way better handling in turns. If you see this truck off roading call 911, cause it was obviously stolen! LOL! Seriously, I will drive it in the snow which is rare in the South and it could see a dirt road or two as well.

  10. Had a very annoying dash rattle near the hood latch. Removed the 2 Lower torx screws and pulled off the panel under the steering wheel. There are 4 bolts concealed behind this panel. 3 of these bolts were ready to fall out. Tightened everything down and no more rattles.

  11. Cleaned the interior. Baseball all weekend. Daughter decided to roll in chalk (she looked like a ghost). This is what it looked like when I got home [emoji15]. A little interior detailer spray cleaned it right up Warning graphic photos Lonely at the end of the day Ryan B.

  15. Thanks. I do hear a loud rattle sometimes like something is loose. I'll check that out. It's a service body bed and between the laptop mount, ladder rack and all the boxes stuffed with tools there is always something constantly rattling. The tires are the biggest thing annoying me right now. They started off quiet and now it sounds like I have big ol monster tires on it they are so loud.

  18. That may be true, but there are some features that used to be standard are missing. My 2019 LT crew cab is worlds better than my 2009 LS crew cab, but my 2009 came with the back seat arm rest/cup holder. My 2019 LT (higher trim level) does not. My kids have no place for their drinks in the back seats except for the door pockets which are not easy for a 4th/5th grader to reach. Also, like others have said, why is it that the only 2019 trucks that don't come with LED tail lights are the bottom of the line work truck and the bread and butter LT? It's a money grab to make the most purchased trucks cheaper to make or persuade buyers into more expensive trims.

  19. That's good you are holding strong. They make money regardless as GM pays them for moving the vehicles. They just are not seeing the profit they want from you. Let them get that off another customer not as educated.

  20. I’m interested to see how the 30 weight performs. I just switched to AMSOIL SS 5W-20 because the NOACK is 5.8. I added a quart of Redline 10W-60 to thicken up the mixture a bit too. It’s a 25 weight oil now while still maintaining very good cold weather performance. Not sure if you know of these or not, in case you don’t, I purchased a Fumoto ball valve that replaces my oil pan drain plug. It’s life changing for those of us who are “a little” obsessive about their oil. Seriously, oil change in less than 5 minutes with no mess and no tools required. You can drain directly into 2 liter bottles or any other container for that matter. Definitely in my top 10 favorite purchases for the truck.

  22. Finally got around to posting pictures. So far I love the setup. Little bit of tire hum but it doesn't bother me at all. Just have to watch with the tight turns mostly associated with maneuvering around cramped parking lots. I have the Bilsteins set on the highest setting and the suspension angles look very healthy still. Before:a After: Before: After:

  28. Fuel, Sorry. Incomplete label. Thought MPG was enough but proved wrong. Thank you sir. Ol brain runs faster than my fingers sometimes. 6/29/2019 Well being Saturday we got one more tank in which didn't really dent the monthly number above but it wasn't in the mid 31's either. Reason? A/C was on seven of the nine hours the motor was turning. It was 95F and humidity was over 75% and the wife wasn't having any part of windows and fresh air. (I was glad). Monthly number down to 31.02 from 31.09 mpg for June. Meh! I would expect the AC will be a part of life if this is going to be our summer. I'm good with 30 plus and the AC on.

  29. Picked up my crew cab standard box RST on Thursday. Couldn't be happier. Love the shape of the hood from the driver's seat and just the overall styling and design of the exterior. And I actually like the layout of the interior, looks far better in person than in pictures. The truck is missing a few things that my 15 LTZ had, but I like the look and color far more. Woke up Friday morning and pulled it out of the garage just to stare at it in the sunlight. And also to let my 2 year old son play in the cab and bed, haha

  31. 95,000 Mile Service 94,804 actual. 0W30 Red Line HP and NAPA Gold filter and a tire rotation. Cursory checks and fills. Safety check, lights and all. Used about 3/4 of a quart this time. No measurable improvement with Mobil 1 5W30. I had enough of the Red Line on hand to do a change and it preformed well in the Silverado. Rotors holding up well. Nothing really to report. She uses this truck or is it abUSES? Poor little 2.4 takes a lick'n and keeps on tick'n.

  35. Getting started on the new system. I decided to keep the factory headunit to use with a JL Audio TwK 88 signal processor and will keep the JL 13tw5 as well as xd700/5v2 5 channel amp. Fully active front stage will be my Japanese version Alpine DLX-F30T ring radiator tweeters and most likely my ScanSpeak Revelator mids. I found the TwK 88 will in fact allow me to manipulate the inputs to provide a Left minus Right signal as well as has 20+ milliseconds of delay and bandpass crossover for "proper" rear fill so I'll be setting that up using the factory speakers with an Alpine compact amplifier.

  36. A little Fathers Day gift from my daughter who knows I'm an old school chrome kinda guy but wasn't willing to pay the ridiculous 600 bucks for a plastic chrome LTZ grill. I prefer to make my mods look like they could have been done at the factory and I think this fits since it is an exact duplicate of the factory grill in a chrome overlay as opposed to a "custom" look like the mesh ones etc. I think it will look better once I have the new front bumper color matched (I found a ready to paint steel bumper for not much more than those paintable covers they make) and I'll most likely leave the rear bumper chrome to kinda mimic the'73 Corvette look.

  38. 90,000 Mile Service. At 74,000 we put new rotors and pads in all four holes. Front rotors are warped. Of course the supplier is out at the moment so for another day in the near future. Their not sure they will back the buy. I'm sure that if they don't there won't be a second buy. 15K rotors and $700 cost for 4 corners? NOT. Oil change. Not just volume but type. Mobil 1 5W30 Extended Performance. AMSOIL was my intention but a scheduling dictated other. K & N filter too. Grrr. What a mess buying has become. "I'll sell ya we have, not what you want". Rumor has it this one does have some PAO content and the idea is slowing the consumption via higher NOACK. It's gets one try and if it doesn't get it done. I'm done with it. Used about 3/4 quart in 5K this time. Okay we retired the Michelin Latitude Tour's and mounted a fresh set of Continental Cross Contact LX 20's. Michelins were down to 5/32" and even as could be. Still quite and working well in the wet and snow. These had been a great tire but they priced themselves out of the game. Bought the Conti's for $10 a tire less money WITH shipping saving roughly $100. We have Continental's on her Buick and she loves them. Happy wife.... Then I took the Terrain for a 150 scuff in and feel assessment. I was fresh off a similar run just a day before on the Michelin's so pretty easy comparison to make. I know, worn vs fresh but hold that thought till you hear the results. The dB A scale meter says they are equal both sets sounding off at roughly 70 dB A. (cabin noise) What the meter can't tell you is the frequency which is huge as I learned. The Continental has a much lower frequency that the Michelin. Actually makes sense as the tread depth difference is like the difference in a tuning forks leg length or could be the pattern. I tolerate the lower frequency much better. Neither tire "booms" like a basketball. Good. The biggest difference is that over various surface textures. While there is a fair amount of difference between say, grooved cement and blacktop for the Michelin the Continental tire hardly changes pitch. One exception. On grooved cement grooves with your direction are nearly silent but across you path they emit a quite but high frequency 'sing'. Few would notice the difference. Quite is a big deal for me. Ride. The Continental has a firmer but less harsh quality about it. It feels more connected to the drivers input as well. You can actually tell the difference between the shocks response and the tires response to an upset. That might bother some but I liked it. It's quite, responsive and comfortable. What we have come to expect from the brand. Side note. We have run Eldorado, Firestone, General, Michelin, Continental and Bridgestone tires all to or past 90K miles with room to spare in tread. Some 40K warranty some 70K. All worked quite well. I'm thinking life has more to do with service and driver than brand and compound (within reason). The two in bold type are the quietest of the group.

  39. Agree'd with RSTPilot. It's actually louder than I thought it would be. Funny that my wife had to take the truck today so I didn't even get to really test it out. She texted me though and said why is your truck so loud... haha. All in all took about hour and half to install and did it on the ground at stock height. I'm a decently skinny guy, it was a tight fit at some points lol.

  40. Just got it on the truck and first impressions are good! It's got a really deep throaty sound. I'm liking it a lot, throttle response seems better also. No noticeable drone either.
