I understand that. I used mine differently when I had the ReTrax as well. Put the rubber gasket around the tailgate, and it was totally waterproof.

That did it Phil. So the inside by the window goes in first and that keeps it in place with a slight twist. After you said that poof it was done. Thank you Phil! I love these mirrors.

Nice thing about not having anything is no one want's to take it from you. I came into this world with nothing. I have most of it left.

The trucks have a stock shim on the bottom of the spring back (thin end of shim toward rear of truck). Adding a tapered lift block cancels out the shim. Believe me, I tried EVERY combination and the rumbling/vibration is ever-present.

Another big Thank You to Phil Gamboa !! Well worth buying the complete harness to have things go so smooth. DL8 to DL3 swap took me about an hour and a half taking my time. All functions working as they are supposed to. The power fold will take some getting used to ! Only problems encountered were working with old eyes and progressive lenses focusing in the door jambs and getting the old harnesses stuffed in the box to ship back for the refund !! Now I've got 3 of Phil's harnesses in my truck. First was the jump seat to console and now one in each front door for the mirror swap. Thinking about the auto dim rear view mirror since the DL3 driver's mirror a got is auto dim ready........ Thanks again Phil for sharing your knowledge and time for these upgrades !!

I grew up in New Jersey and my family always worked off road. We never had 4WD there. In Texas we made our living off road. Less than 1/2 my work vehicles were 4 WD. In my 40 years of working I probably engaged 4WD 1/2 of dozen times to get unstuck. Probably 10 percent of people who have them need it. That’s fine, free will. When ever the snow was still that bad in NJ we stayed home. I know if I live in buffalo I’d have it. Most people it’s a status thing, at least to them.

I had the ReTrax powered roll up w/remote tonneau on my 15 1/2 ton. It was nice. Didn't put one on my 3500 Duramax because of the 5th wheel hitch. When I considered it for this 2020 1/2 ton, I decided I'd just keep my truck a truck and not try and turn it into a wagon/SUV. Toolbox, bed mat, done.

Funny the timing... one of my wheels arrived with the very slightest of damage on the lip. You had to spend time looking for the spot because it was damn near covered with the tire mounted. I asked for it to be replaced with a new one, and I’m finally having it swapped today. Anyway, the shop ended up selling me back the damaged wheel for $65. Eventually I’ll pick up another matching tire and just rotate 5. And since I changed size from factory, it’ll be nice to have a spare that matches the new size. The factory spare is a 33.x” (275/70/18) on an 18”.

Convenience 2 is only available with buckets on trucks that can have buckets. If you want Convenience 2 with a bench, you need to get an LT or SLE.

It's not bad but it isn't complete so already up to $450 with s/h. No trim pieces, no inserts, probably no wiring harnesses either or the bracket for bolting it down in the front. I bet by time you gather the rest of the pieces you're up to $6-7-800 depending on where you get them from. I'd rather fully support @pgamboa and get a quality harness plus a BRAND NEW (not "plastic may be scuffed") center console. I already responded to you in the marketplace but get in touch with @pgamboa. He sells new consoles with wiring harness and the '18 upgrade to wireless charging lid too.

35x12.5 on stock wheels should have no rubbing, that's true. Many here have done that without issue. I had 295/65/20s installed with Fuel Blitz wheels 20x9, with +20 offset. I didn't concern myself too much with backspacing. Here is a side view. My truck is fully stock on the suspension. I had very, very slight rubbing on the front fender liners, but I was able to resolve that by pinning back the bottom edge of the liner using a zip tie on each side looped around the lower valance/bumper support.

Only had it a few days so take it with a grain of salt but I really like it so far. Noticeably better than stock ranchos with only 35k miles in my opinion. You still feel things in the road but when you hit a bump or pothole it doesn't feel like the truck bounces as much. Maybe its the new firmer springs or better damping but it feels like braking/acceleration are better as well, I think it may have to do with the truck not shifting as much weight around. As far as angles I haven't really got under the truck to get a good look yet as its been cold/snowy here. When I do Ill give an update.

Thanks! I have been running mine for over 2 years, catches a lot of oil/moisture mix. Do the CRC Valve/Turbo cleaner top end cleaning as well. Then the catch can keep the valves cleaner vs not having one installed.

Took the front chin spoiler off....looks MUCH better now!

I'm kinda late to the party but just purchased a 2020 Silverado with the 3.0. Couldn't be happier. I've had temps in the teens and it takes about two seconds for it to fire up. Mileage between 27 and 33 depending on speed and road. Fantastic power in the range where you need it. As far as the oil pump belt, It's supposed to last at least 150,000 miles. Harley uses drive belts to pull 800 pounds around and they last forever so I doubt turning an oil pump is much strain. And if you do have to replace it at 150,000 probably still an easier job than pulling the front of the motor to replace a timing belt or chain. I expect some growing pains with it being a new engine but so far it's smooth sailing. I traded in a 2019 Ram that had been in the shop 14 times in 12 months so.........

To each their own on the tonneau cover but I'm a hard top girl myself. This particular tonneau cover was already recalled by GM once for safety issues (flying off while driving) but all they did was change the hardware, attach it way too snug in the middle of the bed and didn't adjust it properly. I purchased weather stripping to attach to the back to keep out the rain and realign the cover again myself as the dealers don't seem to care how they function after install. I will be replacing the cover completely with a Bakflip or retractable tonneau in the future but in the meantime I'll work with what I've got. As for shifting into drive and passing reverse... If you read the whole comment you responded to I mentioned the tailgate clicks and looks closed but later opens when driving. This would indicate the reverse camera shows the tailgate in the closed position when shifting into reverse [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

So most of my order came in from Zephyr Polishing and I thought I’d show anyone interested what I’m going to try and make some shiny parts with. On recommendation from a talented polisher I picked up the ultra shine kit, a couple different heavy duty wheels and a show stopper wheel. So armed with all this, a couple first hand tips from a friend and a few you tube videos I’m going to try and start by tackling those control arms Friday night. Wish me luck

Based on my non scientific Google research the E number and 43r numbers have to do with Europe safety standards. I love the chrome and I’m only 33. I think it looks really good on these trucks. They really nailed with with the LTZ and SLT trucks. I just got a chrome toolbox, and I think it really sets the truck off.

I am an old fart so I preferred the chrome on the GMC SLT

Hi all, Long time lurker, first time poster. Had my 2020 LT Trail Boss for about 6 weeks but finally got wheels and tires and she’s looking good now. Love the truck so far! Hit some trails and got her dirty for the first time today.. 1.5” Motofab level kit 17x8.5” / 0 offset Icon Compression wheels 35x12.5” BFG KM3 I was able to remove the fender liner bracket, trim the mud flaps and pin the liner back.. Able to go lock to lock no rubbing at all.. Other small mods- 20% Front tint LED license plate lights Black lugs Rear recovery hook

In the middle of installing a front Focal Flax front 3 way component setup with one JLTW3 and did a full sound deadening and decoupling treatment with Dynamat extreme and some of that cheap noico stuff for the rear cab since the rear doesnt see as much of the heat. then later this week Il be doing a full paint correction, polish, and ceramic coating (what I do part time since Im in college). Should only take me 2 days since shes so new but I go panel by panel and utilize a 4 step process and am pretty meticulous about my vehicles. Also Im gonna be adding a ready lift leveling kit to the front, a magna flow exhaust, drop the kooks long tubes in the old girl drop and am contemplating one of those fancy badlands off roading bumpers well see tho gonna have to crank out a few more high end car this month to get the cashflow going for this hobby of mine.

I went with the BakFlip MX4 and I love it. Easy install, low profile, and they have great customer service. They sent me a new cover when I contacted them when I noticed some of the rubber seals were cut too short on my cover. They sent a new cover no questions asked and it arrived within a few days. Hi there, I’ve been working on a comprehensive video on all of this with part numbers and explanations, diagrams etc. you have a few options that are pretty easy since you don’t have adjustable pedals. I just got my new X50A (under hood fuse box) in the mail and found a new relay for a second fuel pump. The reason I bought it was for the four AUX/Upfitter relays. This would be perfect for your application. If you can hang in there a few more weeks I’ll have everything complete and post the video.
