Couldn’t find an aftermarket wheel that I wanted and GM black wheels are $500 each so a local guy powder coated them in what’s basically a matte black. Cost $110 a wheel so the total was $440. I’m really happy with the results. Total time to do the job is 3 days if you schedule an appointment. I just did a drop off and wait and it took 3 weeks but the guy was out a week with COVID.

Looks great! I just had mine powdercoated as well when replacing my tires. Same price as yours.

I believe most of the cost to powder coat wheels is labor and the facility. It may be worth paying extra. Grumpy previously mentioned that other factors like location could impact pricing. I think suggesting that members paying more than you are being "ripped off" does not reflect reasoning for the differences in price.

Gas in the next state west is about 30% cheaper than my state but I live to far way to make that worth my while. Am I getting ripped off?

Got mine done for around the same price. Part of the deal was that he did it with 1-day turnaround.

Hope this may help someone - 2021 GMC 1500 AT4 Carbon Pro 4Play Wheels ReadyLift 1.75" Leveling Kit I just purchased a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. These are the parts I installed: 4Play Wheels - Model 4P08 - 22x10 -18 Offset Purchase 4 Hub-Centric Rings! Nitto Terra Grappler Tires - 305/45/r22 ReadyLift Leveling Kit 4Play Wheels - The -18 Offset is so incredibly close to the caliper hump but they clear. No spacers required. They look pretty good. They don't stick out excessively which my personal preference is slightly outside the fender but no where near the -44 Offset look. I personally do not care for solid black wheels on black trucks because you loose the wheel pattern. I live in Texas so 90% of every vehicle is a truck so you see plenty of them. These have Gunmetal Gray powder coat on the top of the spokes so there is some color offset but they mostly look like solid black wheels from a distance. I debated whether to get the all Gunmetal Gray for a major change to the look but I went conservative with black and Gunmetal spokes. You must purchase 4 Hub-Centric Rings. I got everything from Nick at BBWheels and they were awesome and very good pricing. ReadyLift: Part # - 66-3921 - 2019-2021 AT4 1.75" Leveling Kit: I think instructions say like 3 hours. Ya No, at least not in my driveway with basic hand tools and floor jack and no experience. I also had no experience with CV joints so I made sure to run a strap around spindle so it did not fall back and bind or pull the CV joint out of the transfer case and take care of the angle and how much the CV joint was moving in and out, binding and making sure the strut bolt and strut bolt factory press on nut did not tear boot. This was not easy. Drivers side with setup took about 5 hours. Passenger side once I knew what I was doing took less than hour. Also did not have the large like 37mm socket for the spindle nut so I had to go to Northern Tool to purchase one. All they had was a 38mm and it worked. So I really do not know the correct size of the spindle nut but I got the job done and torqued. In the end for me the job probably rated a 7 out of 10 on difficulty scale simply because of taking care of the CV joints and getting the struts in and out without tearing the CV boots or pulling it out of the transfer case. One other note. I did not like the factory pressed on bottom strut nut. It is too tall and pointy and comes to close to the CV boot when working on the install and after. I removed this nut with a screw driver and mounted the strut bolt top down with a lock nut on the bottom on the side closest to the CV boot. Also got the ReadyLift from Nick at BBWheels. Nitto Terra Grappler Tires: To begin I made Discount Tire price match an Amazon price for 33x12.5 Terra Grappler's. Saved like $120 so do it. Next Discount said Corporate would not allow the sale of 33/12.5's because of the AT4's load rating. They said 305/45/r22's had the correct larger load rating so no big deal. They still sold them for the matched Amazon price. Tires ride great no noise look really good. My AT4 has the trailer option so I had 4 tire pressure sensors in glove box. I gave to Discount so they did not have to break down my stock wheels and remove sensors. CV Angle: The only concern I have simply because this was my first 4 Wheel Drive lift kit I ever installed is CV angles? I Googled 2019/2020 GMC Sierra AT4 CV joint angles after lift and mine looks like everyone else's so? I put an angle finder on the top side of CV shaft before and after. Before on Drivers Side it was +4 after lift +12. Bottomside of Drivers Lower Control Arm +9 after lift +15 degrees. Passenger Side it was -10 after lift -19. Bottoms side of Passenger Lower Control Arm -10 after lift -18 degrees. Does anyone have any expertise on this? Does this seem acceptable? Not sure how or if these angles will change after alignment?

Hello everybody, I just recently bought a 2017 Silverado Z71 Crew Cab Short Box. It was a 1 owner with 21K miles. So far I have zero complaints and have it sitting in driveway as stock as the day it rolled off the assembly line(except for windows tints but those don't count). This will change in time Future plans include either a level or ~3.5" lift(haven't decided yet), Bilstein or Eibachs(still undecided), exhaust (been looking into corsa or Borla s type), tires have been super stressful in deciding what I want to do (I have had BFG KO2 and Duratracs on my Jeep Commander and truthfully I loved them both)....I just wanted to post an introduction to the forum...ill have better pictures when the temps are above the teens Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

In my rural area there are only a few guys doing powder coating and the guy I went with was the only one that would even reply and give me a quote. I’m sure in a bigger area with lots of competition the price would of been different.

Yep. Got the 10 speed now. I agree...I think having all three addressed increases the likelihood of fixing the issue, but unfortunately they don’t want to address replacing the window until they try to reseal first. I’m pretty sure they replaced the bolts, crossing my fingers they at least sealed the new bolt connections. I got lucky and got a good technician. Did very good work. No damage to my truck. he had done a handful of trucks before mine, and they told me none have come back for secondary leaks.

This would be my first choice before trying a DIY. I was wondering if your truck still had some original warranty left but definitely take advantage of your CPO warranty. Water leaks and air leaks often originate in different places than they appear. Your dealer may have a good idea of the likely problem spots on your make and model of truck and have the parts to do a factory fix. IMO, your truck is too new and nice to be adding foam sealer from a hardware store to areas you think may be a problem.

They already make the RCSB...just don't market here. Half the trucks made are made outside the US so importing them is also already being done. Just not privately. If you can obtain all parts required to do the conversion and there are companies already doing these conversions then it isn't about importing or demand or profit either. Actually what it is about is a company telling you that they will do as the please and you will take what they offer. It's about a company that forces on it's home base only those products that have align with there long game. Mazda has been selling the Mazda 2 Coupe in the USA for quite a few years now but to Toyota who badges them first as Yaris then as Toyota. Mazda does not want to compete in the USA with their own Mazda 3 coupe but still likes to sell the Mazda 2 coupes to everyone. Even Americans.

I just went with a tonneau cover. It covers all my essentials, like cooler and generator, when camping. I have a canopy on my 2016 and I could live without it.

Well, you got the 10spd now, right? I am starting to think that there are several causes for the leak that all manifest themselves in the same areas: 1. Cracked window frames 2. Sealant voids around window 3. Leaking spoiler fasteners My rear window was replaced back in Aug. even though the frame wasn't cracked. After they returned it to me, the leak was in a slightly different place, but still at the upper frame and it was worse. Window guy came to my work and pulled headliner down (he cracked it) and then cap sealed all the bolts that hold the spoiler on. He also added additional sealant to the frame of the window from the inside of the cab. VERY sloppy work. Leak free so far. Just went out and checked, and it's been raining here for days in Savannah I just feel if all three issues aren't addressed, you risk potential future leaks. Not to say that these fixes are permanent, but I think the spoiler attach bolts leaking is a bigger deal than we realize.

Drove 800 miles round trip from San Diego to Mesquite, Nevada to pick some stuff up at my brother's house. While there he offered to take a look at my lightbar and figure out why it wasn't working with the 9L7 switches. He has the tools and knowledge, so I let him take a look. Well guys I'm out. Did lemon law on my 2019 RST. 2 windows and two silicone repairs and still leaking. The arbitrator rule in my favor and GM will be forced to buy back my truck. Started leaking in Dec 2019. I would have fixed and stayed with GM, but dealer lied about removing carpet 3 times and drying it out. Mold. Good luck!!

Before tunes I did shift kits and intake mods as well as exhaust. After tuning became available electronically I used them. Even with my first S/C truck the tune with it worked well. Having control was my goal more than pushing the absolute limits like custom tuning. Reducing TM, raising shift points, maximizing RPMs, and a premium tune. Right up to my 14 GMC. My trucks super quiet at all speeds. Do you have any aftermarket items on the body? Even vent visors can make noise.

Added some small led lights to the steps.

Picked up my Brownstone SLT 2500 HD Gas last weekend. Love it! It was worth the wait since 11/5 Wow these trucks are big! Had to stand on a milk crate just to check the oil LOL!

I drove a 2021 LT Trail Boss at night and I could not believe how crappy the led lights were, felt like 2 flashlights, and crappy 20 year old ones that got an LED upgrade and a bad one. Could a $62k truck really have lights this pathetic? So I drive an RST the next night with LED and I was surprised how much better the same lights were, they are pretty nice! Surely has to be adjustment with yours, I think they light up the road pretty decent, the fogs help a lot with the foreground where the LED in this truck are weak. My expectation was low coming from the HID in my 2016 I modified with new projectors, ballasts, and night breaker bulbs.

Haven’t seen many vids of this exhaust. I’ve had this on since 250 miles, it was under $500 and super easy to install. It retains the stock bumper tips for an OEM look but it’s nice and aggressive sounding. I get lots of compliments and people asking about it. I’ll add some revs and cab .

I also always get rear wheelhouse liners. I can't stand the unfinished look of the rear wheel houses on trucks. Spray in bedliner a classic but that's getting a little more expensive. All 4 of these together should still be <$1k which is nice

Tinted windows is another nice option that helps keep your interior cool plus I think it helps the look of our trucks
