The light bar GM Accessories sells is putting out around 16,000 to 18,000 lumens. It'll definitely get the message across. The manufacturer is Baja Designs, and they sell a wire harness for $15 that you could theoretically tie into the high beams. You just gotta know what you're doing, which I don't. They clearly point out that a simple government inquiry is needed for them to hand your data over, not a subpoena or court order. And, they do state it would pertain to the safety of others. Therefore, if you have an accident, the other driver says it's your fault and you say it's theirs, the police could simply ask OnStar for info. There is a legitimate concern about privacy, imo. Only issue I've had is the distortion of the backup camera. It makes things look further away than they actually are. I backed into a parking stall at a golf range/batting cages place and used the button to drop my tailgate so my son could get is baseball bag. I thought I was far enough from the vehicle behind me. Nope. Dropped my tailgate onto the hood of a brand new black Ford Ranger. The plastic corner at the top of the tailgate chipped the paint on the hood. They seem to be doing alright then. Take a coke can, chop a 1/4 of it off to stimulate a truck bed, give it 4wd, and it'll still be #1. I bought my truck sight unseen, and I don't regret it. I want even able to test drive a truck. Nothing available on the lot last summer. They had 1 6.2 Silverado on the lot, but it had been delivered that day, still had the plastic wrap on it, and allegedly had a recall so I wasn't allowed to drive it. Is everything perfect? Actually, Buick is doing very well. You just need to look outside of the US sales number. China loves Buick. People with $100k seem to want the Escalade. It's selling. The Chevrolet Silverado is so ugly that it's gaining marketshare. If the GMC Sierra is ugly, then so is the new F150. If the SUVs are so ugly, then why are they the segment sales leader. If all you do is base your opinion on looks, then I'd hate to ask you about your opinion of people skin color. At the end of the day, it's not looks that determine value and worth, it's function. That applies to the outward appearance of vehicles and people. Just stopping hating and your life will be more positive. After all, nobody would've had anything to say to you about this. There's a leak problem with the back window? It's been raining since yesterday morning here in San Diego. I checked right before I went to bed tonight. No leak so far, and headliner is dry. After looking at the pics of the gasket being used with the clips of the spoiler I do have a concern about the force being applied to the gasket. When you're driving pressurized wind will find a way into the crack between the roof and front of spoiler and force water past the gasket. Imo, I think that's the issue here. I'm at 9600 miles since buying my truck in July. I've literally been coast to coast, but was blessed by sunny weather the entire way. The storm I'm experiencing now is the first good rain I've seen since August, but my inside is still dry. Keep in mind that I wash my truck at the DITY carwash with high pressure spray guns. Oh, and I bought the Chevy because I found the looks to be sporty and rugged. I think the truck looks great. If I didn't like it I would've bought the GMC. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Are you able to all OnStar to perform a diagnostic? Whenever I've experienced a problem with my truck, the first thing I've done is hit that OnStar button and ask them to run a diagnostic test for trouble codes. If anything pops up they send me an email. This way, if the problem goes away after I shut off the truck I'll have documented proof to provide the dealership. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

GM does a lot of things that irritate me. I'm dealing with one issue right now, but that's aside from this thread (nothing wrong with my truck so far). But, I've seen things with other companies that continue to put me in GM vehicles. We all have our reasons, right? With that said, I don't regret purchasing my 2020 Trail Boss LT with the 6.2. There are things I would probably do different, such as buy the AT4 instead because of some features, but I love this truck. I hope it lasts at least 20 years. I typically wait for 3rd model year vehicles, which a 2021 would be, but word was the new interior was going to be released then making 2020 the final year of the current interior. COVID allegedly pushed that back to 2022, so there's now MY2021 with column shifters. And, the updated interior is suppose to bring a whole electrical architecture that debuted on the new Tahoe and Suburbans. I didn't want to take the risk of all the new stuff that was allegedly coming in 2021, now 2022. The current wiring is complex, but workable for noobs like me. Got a call from my dealer today. He said all the parts arrived to do this project. Again, the kit wasn't available so I had to order it by the piece. Even though I have my dealer the pay numbers he decided he was smarter and didn't order the fuse block parts (GM part #84669070). Going through the paperwork I've confirmed I need this part, so I get to call him back in the morning and get it ordered. It's going to be a few days until I can get it, so no install this week. Hold on here. A September 2020 built 6.2 that's out of the valve spring TSB time frame? I have a bunch of concerns here. First, the valve spring TSB was extended to October 7th built trucks. The dealer and GM should be taking care of this. Second, you're still in your bumper to bumper warranty. Again, there's no reason GM shouldn't be handling this. Imo, there's no reason to lemon law your truck. GM has an obligation to fix your truck under warranty, and they've admitted to this issue. My truck was built in June 2020, so this is something I'm paying attention to. I have almost 10,000 miles on my truck, so I've dodged a bullet so far.
