Hi folks. My real name is Rich. From Western New York state right close to Lake Erie, about 15 miles south of Buffalo.

I've been lurking around the forum for about a year now. Lots of nice info and lots of nice trucks around here. Figured it's about time I join up. I've got plenty of dumb questions to ask.

 

I bought my truck new in Nov of 08. Nothing special, it's basically a 1500 reg cab, long bed wt, with chrome package, tow package, and the 4.8 V8. It's badged as an LS. I got a great deal on it because I bought it at a time when they just about could'nt give them away. It's my first full size pick up.

 

The only thing I've done to the truck so far is put on the Rough Country leveling kit and a bug shield. Today I bought a set of brand new 18 x 8 factory alloys with new Bridgestone Duelers that some guy from around here took off a 2010 Z71 as soon as he got it home from the dealer. They use a lot of salt around here in the winter so I guess he took them off because of that, and then he must've got hard up for money or something because the Z71 that's sitting in his driveway has the painted 8 hole 17" steel rims on it. But anyhow, I saw them on craigslist the other day and bought them this morning. They're gonna change the way my truck looks bigtime and I'm all stoked up about it. I want to get an alignment and I have to find the correct lugnuts before I put them on my truck. I figure by that time all the salt will be washed away off the roads.

The only other stuff I want to do that I can think of right now is put on the factory fog light kit and take out the plastic gm bedliner and get a Linex sprayed in.

Well my truck is really going to be close to looking the way I want it in about a month with the new wheels, and just this morning I bought a brand new genuine GM fog light kit already painted dk blue (25U) shipped, for a hair less than 3 bills off ebay. Dealer quoted $500 uninstalled just last year.

Now I gotta find me one of those dk blue bumper covers to replace the chrome one and I'll be all sh*ts and grins!
