Just traded our 2009 Silverado in on a 2011 Z71 and love it. The other truck was a faithful companion, but really wanted the 4WD. Removed everything I could from the old truck, including the DiabloSport tuner, floor mats, Volant cold air kit, Roll-n-Lock, bed mat, etc. Had to leave the Magnaflow exhaust and that hurt my feelings!

Finally got the tuner updated and installed this weekend. Made a difference, just with the 87 octane tune, but I sure don't like the shifts at WOT. Want to try the the 93 tune next..... Best thing about it was to get rid of that DOD! AFM stinks in these trucks, in my opinion.

Cold air kit is next!

I disabled the AFM/DOD with the tuner. I DO NOT like it. My 2009 was ok, until I put the Magnaflow exhaust on it. Then it drove me crazy.Again.....this is just my opinion on my vehicle, so it is GONE baby!

As for the shifts with the tuner, under WOT, it almost acts like it slips right before each shift.....then bam, shifts really hard and firm. In my mind, this must be part of the TCM, protecting the tranny from too much torque. The transmission cannot be controlled with the DiabloSport, as I understand it. I also have a Diablo for my 2002 Camaro, and I am considering buying the new Trinity. With the Trinity tuner, you can tune multiple vehicles (one at a time), and it has the ability to get into the Transmission Control Module.

Also want to consider what to do about a small lift, or a leveling kit and the biggest tires I can run on stock wheels. I don't want aftermarket wheels, these are great looking to me.

I will figure out how to post a pic soon.....

The shifts are supposed to be firm, factory setting allow to much slipping and produce more heat. My truck runs much better with the AFM disabled and I get a little better mpg, your should be the same. You don't need to spend the extra money on the Trinity, the new inTune will do everything you need.

Looks like you got the "all star" edition. Looking at the same truck, I don't care for the "regional package" with all the bling. Working a few dealers as we speak (type).
