Got to get radiator fixed or get a new one. Buddy is going to give me a fan. Need new belts and a fuel line from gas tank to gas cap and it should be good to go.

Here's the pics as promised

So the clutch came off? Geez, with it sitting so long you thing getting it off would have been an issue. I'm betting someone had been messing with it before it was put away and it was never reinstalled correctly.

Well I took a little Sunday drive that started on Friday and ended on Sunday about 800 miles from my house to Collinsville, IL and back. Truck was great as always!! :jester:

Finally installed some overdue parts on the truck; hood release handle and center console cover. Windshield wiper hose will be done during daylight hours. I was dripping sweat at 9pm... I'm so freaking tired of the desert heat!!

In hindsight the parts were pretty easy to install but I took longer than expected. The springs in the cover were a pita to keep in the right position, and its difficult to gain access to the handle. For the handle you need to pull the plastic surrounding back or off to be able to access the nut. You also need to compress the clip to get the cable out of the handle.

The console cover is for an 06 and is a slightly darker gray than my interior, while also being vinyl instead of cloth. Its not an exact match but it'll age a whole lot better and the fit is perfect!

When I have time I'll install the desperately needed front brake pads.

All of this was purchased on rockauto.com.

After I added a 12 volt plug on the front of the truck I realized it's "on" all the time. So I've now added a kill switch...just in case anyone gets any ideas to "borrow" my battery power.

Go under the rails and get Oem bed caps, God forbid but if you ever wreck your truck and have to replace a bedside if you have over the rail they will only pay to spray that bedside and the texture and color almost never matches seen this many times in my career at the shop.

Finally installed new ac delco durastop pads up front earlier this week. Zero noise and dust so far! A huge improvement over the previous auto zone pads that put out dust non stop.

New clips were provided and everything was lubed up nicely.

I also greased up some of the bushings while I was in there, it had been years...

And speaking of which... I was getting the abs/brake lights on the dash and after checking the connections that same day I'm no longer getting them! Prior to this it was an almost daily occurrence. Hopefully that's the end of that!

Switched out some seat covers in a Camaro today and boy was this a wild story almost hard to believe.

Took the sunroof out to work on the roof, put crash wrap over the hole, it rained that night and filled the crash wrap and stayed sunny the next two days ( 90+ degrees) and the sun shining through the water in the crash wrap burned the seats and melted the console. Almost like a magnifying glass and the sun.
