If I was gonna get a 6.2L, how many miles should I not go over if to buy one?

When I bought my '07 5.3L it had 102 when I bought it, never did use any oil at all.

That would be your decision to make. A truck with 80,000 miles may actually be in much better mechanical shape than one with 25,000 miles depending on how they were treated.

You are going to want to know how the truck was used and if it has been serviced regularly. Knowing that should make the decision easier when it comes time to buy.

Remember that the 09-13 6.2L Sierra & Silverado did not have AFM so nothing to worry about there. Those years are GM's best for the 6.2L truck engines. The new trucks all have AFM! GM should have not messed with the 6.2L truck engine, they were perfect without cylinders turning off and on.

Truck went in for a oil change in the dealer followed with some brake line recall and for a werid downshift feeling and then I had to show them where the zerk points on the tie rod was they didn't even no they were there... That's comforting

Fogs and license plate lights are in... My reverse and cargo should be in later this week and hid kit going in tomorrow hopefully pretty exited...

Damn that is so true.....

I started parking the truck and taking the gas-sipping car to work to save gas/money/miles/etc..., but the truck just doesn't run right anymore. Need to stretch her legs out a bit at least once a week, and continue to fix the "little" things.

Changed oil. Found out the trans was rebuilt 5 miles before I bought it!

When I bought it most of the fluids looked brand new. But, I wasnt sure so I just called the GMC dealer to get the odometer from whichever services.

They said all they had was some hoses, oil change and a transmission overhual. I confirmed it wasn't a service, it was a rebuild.

Its been about 10k miles since then(remember it was a once or twice a week thing until last month). Fluid looks and smells excellent, so I guess I can wait a while for that next flush

I'm going for coolant, PS, and brake flushes next month before vacation.

Yes there were a real pain in the ass.... And I had to call vled and they explained that sometimes the wires on the bottom move so I had to force them over then went under the truck and used both thumbs and pressed extremely hard and they went in and light up now... The fog lights look killer as well that I got from them but the passenger side one has me paranoid because I can't be sertain both clips clipped it was giving me a really hard time...
