That is the 03-06 Platinum

I've been looking for ways to dress up the interior some more, and this is definitely one of them.

Yeah that looks good. I thought it was the upscale new-body one - thought I saw that same dash in a '10 Escalade a while back. Memory ain't what it used to be, though ...

I'll check those out too. I love the 800 interior design it's just a little bland.

A little Rustoleum can go a long way

I've never been good with paint. Always runs or never turns out right.

Started looking for a replacement for the '91. Not getting rid of it, just retiring it from work duty. I need something for puling, the 2014 I sold was good at it, but not great.

So, the search for a 3/4 ton begins, and I've gotta say the Ram 2500 is winning. A 6.7 Cummins, solid axle 4x4, 6 speed manual, CCLB with 70k Kms for $31K CDN. Compared to a 6.0 gas, 4x4, CCSB 6 speed auto with 80k Kms for $39k... Both 2012's both comparable in options (the GMC has power seats and the Ram doesn't)...

Cummins hands down ... although I'm partial to the 12-valve, mechanically injected, no b/s engine.

I have a very low opinion of the newer light Cummins. Expensive to fix and poor mileage. I don't think there's any way you'd get far past 200,000 without major repairs. Ours blew a seal in the turbo and drank all its oil. Pricey rebuild.

Are the newer manual Cummins engines still detuned? I know at some point the manual got a much less powerful version of the engine. With modern automatics there is no reason to go manual, especially on a diesel. Lost boost on every shift? No thanks.
