Wow, glad she's ok.

For what it's worth, my wife loves her AWD Traverse. She hates driving my truck (says it's too big), but this thing is almost just as big!

Jesus Christmas ... glad she's alright!! Wow that could've gone real ugly really fast.

It's either going to be another Equinox or Acadia. She really likes the Acadia Denali interior but the price tag on the Equinox is a little more checkbook friendly..... I guess I will know for sure within two weeks. Plan on going to the dealership tomorrow if she feels up to it.

Plan on taking a peek at the Buick Enclave while we're there too.

Went on a rescue mission. My other half crashed her Equinox on her way to work. Roads all dry until going around a blind curve that was blown over covered in snow.

If she would have hit one foot to the right it would have been head on with a tree. Luckily all is well, just scrapes and bruises luckily.

Looks like it's going to be time for a new GM crossover or SUV, selectable 4x4 or AWD, doesn't matter. It's probably going to be another Equinox since she loved the 08.

I am now a huge fan of airbags, it saved her this morning.

Glad she is ok.

I really looked into snow tires before buying the CX5.

Saw many many statements from people in northeast saying winter tires (on a fwd)are WAY better than just all wheel drive in the snow. Remember hearing an auto podcast where a guy said he would always choose Snow Tires over AWD if he was forced to pick just one. That was my plan with the CX5 but yet to use them, has been a very warm winter.

No added maintenance, repairs, or initial cost, or decreased MPG for a commuter that is never driven off road.

The Ex had General studded snow tires on her Cruze. Drove like a totally different car in the snow.

Glad the Mrs. is ok. As for airbags, yep, I was in crashes with deployments and things could've probably been worse had they not been there.

Were you not a fan of them before?

I run snows on all my vehicles in winter. Have to where I live. Makes it easier to go straight to my house, instead of 5 miles out of the way to go around a big hill. Plus, if I'm ever unfortunate enough to have to venture into Worcester, I might have a better chance at making it out alive ... :uhoh:

The entire city gridlocks every time it snows if the weathermen don't announce it. What a hellhole ...
