Surprised to see a non ca model with thumb safety

My buddy got one on his. I guess they are both good and bad.

I like how Springfield's tear down and their dovetail safety like a 1911. I'll keep my Glock, but if I decide for a new carry gun down the road, it'll most likely be an XDs. My Springfields have always treated me well, not sure what made me switch, probably the hype around the 43 at the time

I could have spent the same and got the same thing without but it didn't matter to me so I got the safety

Mom sent me a text yesterday with pictures of their truck. Apparently dad back into his sisters mailbox. After all that work he did last year with putting on the new bed, painting it, etc, he goes and screws it up. Haha!

California has a roster of approved handguns. Smith only submitted a version with safety.

Looks like the one I bought 4 1/2 years ago. Yeah, safety isn't a big deal to me either. I don't get how "on" and "off" is considered to be so complicated(I have seen ridiculous complaining on deal websites about them, a bunch of agruements but no one ever changes anyone elses mind). If you don't want it, just leave it off! Edited by SnakeEyes

Not sure if sarcastic or doesn't get out to other forum sections

Helped install a light bar and aux rear lights on buddy's F150 last night.

This morning took the loaner car down to the boat to make a to do list and grab my fishing stuff buddy has been storing for me. We need to go through and sort it out and see what we put on the boat.

Still can't get used to how quiet the loaner is, darn v6. Got the mpg up to 19 something. Seems like a waste to get a v6 if I could get that mileage with the 5.3. Didn't break with the little bit of tackle I put in the bed.

I just drove her to work again and on the way home I ran errands and got her up to proper temperature, which isn't too common since I live so close. And that meant that I was able to drive her pretty hard, getting up past 4k rpm a few times. The engines really love the sub 100 degree weather.

No pics of her in the middle of the road though. [emoji12]
