Just finished changing the oil in the truck. Gave it some fresh Mobil 1 at 41000 miles. Also took the 295/55/20 Toyo at2 off and put the stock 17" rims on. Going on trip next weekend and stockers ride soo much nicer, are quieter, and get better mpg. Plus when I get back, the truck is going in to get the transfercase checked out.

Gave her a bath today for the first time in like 2 months. She needed it pretty badly. Need to make another order from Adams. I need some APC & a new drying towel. Forgot I had the H2O Guard and Gloss from Adams.

Got my truck back from the dealership Thursday, the loaner Yukon didn't do as well on fuel as I thought it would, I'll stick to my truck. Plus even though I turned off most the stupid "safety" things it still nagged me about them being off every time I started it up. After having the Yukon a 6 days I still don't understand the appeal of push button start and now hate it more than I did previously. The Yukon was nice for the most part. I didn't like how it had a lazy shift feeling, took too long to shift gears I guess.

On the way home from work Thursday night/Friday morning truck hit 66,666 miles.

Today I took off my passenger wheel well liner and changed the fuel filter. Then cut and drilled holes for the access door. Now hopefully I won't ever have to remove the liner again. Plus filter changes should be super quick now. Fixed the driver's side shock on my toolbox lid that managed to detach itself. Trimmed my trees after all that so now my bed is full of branches. Of course I finished after the dump closed so I either have to wait until Monday or bring it to my friend's burn pile. Probably going to wait for Monday then I can get my truck weighed. a17c5699d320d9237035d51e686dc77d.jpg0b62ae339e1c14b3128ee9644bcfc5df.jpgf9a0ac072a3c7c11c0d9a65ef76e9aaf.jpg

If you like the guard and gloss check out the hydro boost. Much easier to use and IMO the results are much better

I haven't been following Adams too much lately. I gotta check it out, I had this stuff for about a year and the only 2nd time I've used it. Since, I don't have a drying towel. Somehow lost it in the moving process.

Drove through like 3' of water to get my family home safe. Water was coming over the hood but we made it no problems. I love my truck! Hurricane Harvey really did some damage.

Really been giving the truck some attention this weekend. Cleaned the windows this morning and thought to myself I should grease the tie rod ends. Happy I did because one of the sway bar end links was completely broken. So just installed 2 nice new Moog ones.

Not a good night, truck took a line drive to the door. Surprisingly thought it would be worse

Loaded up some more yard waste from my other property and took it all to the dump. Big fatty weighs a few hundred pounds less than I thought she did. Yay? da62e844bc88ae305a25629bd42d6920.jpg

Grab a chunk of dry-ice, a very hot/sunny day, and pop it out, IF it is not creased. If it is creased, you run the risk of cracking the paint. Can do the same trick with hail dents.

Was taught to let the vehicle set out in the sun for a hour or two, to get the body good and hot, take a chuck of dry-ice, swirl it to the center of the dent, stop for about a second, and pull straight out from the surface.

Did my routine fluid check on diffs and transfer case. Also did a cab preclean. Still finding glass from the break in. :driving:

Also did more surveying on my rust. It appears to be in a very small area about a foot long at the bend in the rocker (driver side). None showing on the passenger side or anywhere else. I think I'll get a scopecam to look around inside the body panels.

Hopefully the guy that harassed me several months ago is no longer on line. Rebuilt a 2005 Escalade cluster yesterday in blue, it turned out out super nice with it's white needles. This guy drove from Churchilfalls Labrador. Probably 1000 miles from my house. Except for a little tear in the side of the driver's left side seat leather it was immaculate.
