I just missed you. I was down for 4 wheel jamboree a couple weekends ago, but you wouldn't of had them installed then. Those 275/70/18's never rubbed with your 2" level and factory mud flaps did they?

No rub

I took my truck in to the dealer to see what it's worth on trade in cause I need a bigger truck to pull my 5th camper I mean 13 000 lbs is a lot on weight for a 1500 5.3. But I hate to say it I think im leanig towards a Dodge I really miss having a manual transmission and Dodge is the only one to offer a stick and I can buy a Dodge Cummings slt with 6 spd manual way cheaper then a Duramax with a boring automatic. But I'll always have my old trusty 94 Chevy I'll never sell that old girl and its not that I hate GM but I do really want another stick shift and I just feel I will regret it if I buy another automatic I just don't think I'll be happy I just plain love manual transmissions.

The cummins with 6 speed gets less power than the auto version. Or at least used to

Still is. Torque is like 60-80lb. less

There is no transmission on the market better than the Allison, IMO.

Sorry to say it, but the Aisin in the Ram 3500 trucks is an exact copy of an Ally (supposed lawsuit over it) and Ford's torqshift tranny is no joke either. The Allison has competition these days.

That torqshift trans is rated to some ridiculous number like 1400 lbs of torque

But 1400 according to ford is about 700 from a GM engine

Eh I'm not sure about that lol.

My buddy used to work solely on powerstrokes (which drives me away from them, always heard horror stories) but he said he's never replaced a 6 speed torqshift trans while he was working there at the Ford Commercial delearship. Now 6.0, 6.4, and 6.7 PS are a different story lol

We used to have a 6.0 excursion with the 5 speed torqshift

I'm referring to the new 6R140 torqshift models. Don't really read up on the 5R110 model. Now back then, GM definitely had the upper hand for sure. The LBZ was awesome then strapped with an Allison 1000 you just couldn't beat it

We never lost the trans, list the #4 and #7 injectors. Transfer case literally grenaded on the freeway in the ram 2500 gasser, throttle body in the 04 F150, and melted fan relays in my Sierra. We dont have the best luck
