Got a letter in the mail from GM regarding the middle leaf spring cracking and breaking on my truck. They where so kind as to cover that till 100k miles now.

GM is saying those 1500s cant haul everything? 1500s don't have the rear spring capacity to do so? Ratings are too high?

Last night I removed the side saddle tool box from the bed. Wasn't using it anyway except to collect junk. Now have full use of the entire bed. Pulled the bed mat out and swept the bed out. I'll keep the mat for now, until I get a spray in liner. Also added a quart of oil, still averaging a quart every ~600 miles. One day I'll find the time to work on those leaks.

I think either that or too much carbon in the steel causing it to become stiffer but won't bend they'll just crack or break

Well GM made the springs wider and thinner back in 2011 and boosted springs were "improved".

My dad's 2013 SRW 3500 squats about 2" lower than my 2010 2500 with the same tralier.

Maybe on the HD trucks but my old 02 and my 14 both have 2.5" wide springs, seemed to be about the same thickness too. I know the AAL kits work for all those years as well. I wanna say they are the same bolt to bolt length too

I changed out a fuel tank vent line and a evap canister. Taking the bed off makes for easy work. No more P0442 code for me.

Got tired of hearing the rear passenger side window leaking while driving down the road so I siliconed it shut. Did a double seal. Put a bunch on the window where it goes against the weather stripping, and did another inside around the window.

Also in the process of adding more sound deadener to the panel while I have it off.

I also decided to wash the Cruze. Found a new chip on the hood since the last time I washed it. Even put a ding in the hood where the rock hit. What a joke.

If it's not made of plastic, it's made of beer cans. Can't win!

Was looking at the nylon fuel lines on Black02's truck there - I just picked up a kit with all the push connectors, with the tool to press them into the nylon. Also grabbed the flaring kit to make the push-connect flare on the metal lines.
