Let 'em talk Chevyguy.

I took this one no handed ...and bare-assed ... in a 15 mile-per-hour residential zone. :D

I don't know if I'd want to do 110 in this truck, did it a couple times in my older trucks. I get on my friends all the time for being on their phones while driving, I try to set a good example for them :-d

Yeah, the new trucks don't handle very well in the triple-digits. Feels like it's going to roll over backwards from the wind - the front end gets frighteningly light.

My old trucks could easily traverse triple digits, and I'd still have confidence enough to change lanes without feeling like it was going to lose control at any second.

Except for my TBI '94 - didn't have enough top-end power (nor the speedometer) to hit triple digits. Maybe it did - all I remember is the needle was getting ready to point straight down and bend.

I go from spending a month in the dually to a day driving the 2500 with all the towing gear removed and box tank empty. The trucks a rocket.

Ordered some Morimoto HID's for my low beams. 25% off over on vleds.com so figured why not? Also going to order cheap LED bulbs for the fog lamps. Just need the color to match, dont expect them to actually put off any decent light. Dropped the truck back off at the body shop yesterday. Said they were going to look at it then contact insurance. I told them that I would go over it with them there and now. The two guys did not seem too thrilled with me lol. I just want it right thats all. If they approve both wheels, which they need to, Im going to just buy the wheels I posted earlier (Sierra All Terrain replicas). Probably still have cash left over.

Also ordered a red dot Friday for my new shotgun, ordered a picatanny rail with 6 shell holder today for it to mount the red dot. Got a killer deal compared to the prices I saw online (paid $86 with shipping, retail price is $130)

Ordered a new Denso A/C Condensor.

Is that just the next step in figuring out your A/C issue? Or is that going to solve it?

Next step. From what I'm reading it should solve the problem, but we shall see. If not it's on to the blend door & actuator.

Pins, bushings and anti rattle clips on my 05 1500HD. Should be quiet for a week or 2... Then right back to rattle rattle rattle over any bumps. Such a stupid annoying design... This is like the fifth or sixth time now. I hadn't done them for quite a while and some of the rubber bushings in the brackets were almost gone. Doesn't help using the wrong length pins in the fronts either lol. That's like 80000 miles with pins that were too short.

Also trying to dry the drivers footwell out as its sopping wet. The carpet and underlay are completely soaked with water... how or why.. I dunno.. just need to get it dry.

I just checked the engine air filter expecting it to be very dirty but it wasn't bad at all. I haven't driven her through any of the monsoon dust storms this summer but during the road trip she saw some horrible dust due to construction.

I'm using the fram tough guard filter with the waxy residue, so far so good.

And I've been trying to drive her harder when I get the opportunity to get her up to a decent operating temperature. The other day I opened her up while driving next to a gmt900 Sierra with the 6.0/6.2 but obviously it blew me away.

Should've kept that '86! :)

Had more fun yesterday. A '95 S10 pickup with 230k miles or so. Door pins so bad the door wouldn't even shut. Someone had welded a nut to the top of one of the pins to hold it in place. Holes were the size of quarters! Door would drop 4".

Had to cut the pins out (was only half of one bushing left out of the 4), then weld 3 of holes smaller, and drilled them to size. Then had to install a door latch, and weld the strike pin, since the body was all split where it mounted, and I basically just tore it off with pliers. I should've got a pic of that. I was stressing out thinking I'd never get the damn thing line up again- only had one shot! Thankfully it worked.

To add to the fun, it was 76° with a 75° dew point. I was SOAKED!

Get to weld the exhaust back together today, and replace a lower ball joint in that C1500 rust bucket.

What is give to rip it apart with a trackhoe But that's not practical now that I calmed down it makes more sense selling. One thing I'll miss is listening to that massive cold air inhaling with the 3 inch dual straight pipes exhale I will say this truck sounds amazing. I listed it for $22 800 hopefully it sells only has 61 000km.
