Yea that 5/8 term came from me being sleep deprived. I had to think if he said its more than a half ton what would it be.

Sleepy; CLEARLY. 9/16ths-Ton sounds much better. Geesh. :jester

OK I'll call the 5.7 Tundra a 9/16 and the NHT twins a 5/8. Everyone happy?

Chris, Why did you edit my post?

I am on my phone and I meant to quote. But I accidentally hit edit. And I typed what I meant to put in my post because I was quoting. Hit submit, saw my mistake and fixed it.

Well I really like the GM ads that celebrate the heritage of the trucks. Numbers come and go.

i agree.

not because I am a GM fan, I think that GM has had the best truck commercials. they are not outrageous like toyota's and not brash like ford commercials. IMO

Yes they are. I noticed it as soon as I posted it because there was no post from me. I ended up typing my reply in his post.

Yes they are! I was scrolling through a thread at lunch and all of a sudden a box popped up asking if I was sure I wanted to delete a post! No idea what I did. There's definitely a learning curve to all this so if I screw up, I apologize in advance.

Kidding. I hate them on Tapatalk as well. I've done what you did before, no worries, I just wasn't sure.

I've had my truck overloaded going up and down steep 8% grades on a winding road with an 11,000 pound toy hauler because the dodge 2500 grenaded the transfer case 2 weeks before the trip. I had no trans cooler and it was 105 outside. I knew my weight rating for the truck but I knew all the risks and no one to blame but myself

AND YOU THINK TEXTING AND DRIVING IS DANGEROUS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

That was a one time A-B tow and I did what I had to do. I only towed that one way. Also what does that post and this thread have to do with texting and driving?

That seems to be one of many "one up" type of stories. Highly doubt that 11,000lb haul happened.

With the claimed heat being 105, there without a doubt would have been a major over heating issue. It happens with properly equipped vehicles all the time.
