It's an ex rental. You'd have to pay me to take it.

Took the top and doors off today:

It's still available but registration was already $725 dollars because it's through October 2017. That was too much already.

I have to pay a yearly fee based on vehicle tax value plus $50 now because of the plate

My mom has a 2005 LeSabre that was a rental in its prior life. Over 170k on it now, and one of the most reliable vehicles I've been around.

It's based on value here too. It sucks but we still have no income or sales tax.

Mine is not only based on value. Because it came with an open bed, i am forced to have it be registered as commercial while a suburban is a car

MA used to do that with pickup trucks 25 years ago. Used to cost me $90 every year for reg. Total rip! Passenger cars were $40 every 2 years, now up to $50. Still cheaper today than it was back then.

This thing was a rental. Got 2 miserable years out of it, then I couldn't take it anymore. A '00 Jimmy. Was my first OBD-II vehicle besides the Silverado. Boy, did I get a crash course in that! What a friggin nightmare. Money light was on every other week through the whole 2 years, something different every time. Express down driver's window was express UP - the guillotine, LOL! Had rear washer fluid hoses slip off in the back, and fill under the carpet with GALLONS of washer fluid before I figured out where it was going. Headlights stopped working requiring a TOTAL rewire from scratch ( put a '68 Nova foot-actuated high-beam switch on the floor - that was the best part of that truck! ). Every front end component was bad. Radiator full of mud. I could go on and on ...

Ended up stripping the engine of all the electronic crap, slapped on an intake and carb, and threw it in our '89 S10 Blazer. It suddenly became reliable again.

Holy resale value Batman! Saw an ad that got my attention.

So Chevy renamed the LTZ to "Premier".

Wonder if this is why:

They have a few for that price. Over 10K drop in under a year! Yikes! 10K drop on a 36K car is nuts IMO. The Maxima's lost around 6k, and it's a more expensive car. Even for the miles that seems steep, GM needs to get their pricing in line to what they actually sell for. Does brand image just not matter any more? Ford is guilty too, Fusions and Taurus is just as bad. First I've seen a GM drop so fast.

On the good side, those are a pretty good deal used.

The resale on my Cruze is pretty poor also. I'll never buy brand new again let alone a car. Always nice to have brand new until you try and trade it or sell it. My friends have a Kia Optima, and it's resale is horrid even compared to my Cruze so I don't feel THAT bad about mine. Haha!

Forgot to post yesterday, but we have a new member of the family.

His name is Max, got him from an animal shelter 45 minutes away. Has been a very good dog so far.

Oh I believe it. He was more spunky today than yesterday. I can see him being ornery after some more time passes.

My truck has dropped around 20k off MSRP since I got it almost two years ago. If I traded it I would owe like 4k. I do put a lot of miles on it though so that's what probably makes my resale so poor
