Anyone ever had their heart set on a mod, and once you get the parts for it you're not so sure anymore?

Plenty of times. More than not I've been glad I went through with them though.

CCW license came in yesterday. Went and had it laminated since it is a piece of paper. It is also larger than a credit card. California likes to make things difficult

They make things difficult for regular Americans - people who don't share their worldview. Everyone else has it easy.

MA actually gives us a plastic license, like a driver's license. Has my fingerprint, picture, and all kinds of other info on it. I had to give both full-hand prints, several thumb prints, and multiple regular fingerprints.

Amazing how the Northeast and Cali treat their citizens like criminals, just for exercising a Constitutional RIGHT ... :banghead:

Ours is like a driver's license, with ahologram watermark.

OK was just ranked 6th in guns and ammo list of best states for gun owners. Better than Texas, the stereotype. OK was ranked 30 in 2015. Not quite sure why the surge.

You probably have some normal legislators there that passed some pro-firearm laws since then.

God knows this state doesn't! :nonod:

Oh yeah, we've got that hologram too of the MA state flag - it's right over all my info.

Texas isn't as friendly as everyone thinks it is. It got better Jan 1st and again sometime this week or next week, but still not as great as it could be. Florida has the same misconception as well. We might have been great back in the early 90s but today we have too many places we can't carry and can't even open carry.

FL permits are almost like our DLs just blue. No finger prints just permit number, picture, and address. Ours isn't even a valid form of ID according to the state, meaning we can't use it in place of our DL for identification.

VA just has a piece of paper with my name address and permit number on it. I keep mine in the waterproof sleeve that I keep both my hunting and fishing licenses

Some Texas cities ( Houston, Austin, San Antonio ) to name a few are moving left due to migration and the promise of free stuff. Along with that comes all the rest of left ideas ( burdens) that leads to higher taxes and less stability. Out in the good old Texas country side is where the real Texans live if they can.

^^^ That's the way it SHOULD be. In all 50.

No law on the books here regarding open carry ... however, you're guaranteed a visit from the police if you do, when some leftist city clown freaks out and calls them on you.

The cities here are so bad, it's not even worth the trouble of crossing the border. It's like entering another country. :nonod:

Texas has the castle law, you can have them in your house, vehicle, place of business. No use having carry licenses, most places ban guns anyway. I try not to travel places that don't have the castle law. To many gray areas. Should be nation carry, with training course and insurance to protect in case of accidents. Just like driving a car.
