What vehicle are you talking about that requires a 3k oil change schedule?

 

I never said a 3k oil change schedule, I said a 3k oil filter replacement, if you're running synthetic you can go a lot longer on the oil up to 8000 miles. But a plugged filter does nothing to clean the oil because the oil just bypasses the filter. All my GM's manual say 3000 miles for conventional oil and filter and to follow oil monitor for synthetic oil changes. It does not say follow oil monitor for filter changes so I assume you still have to change the filter at 3000 miles if you want clean oil that is.

I just sprayed my entire yard with about 1% Glystar Plus.

This is going to be interesting. Is it going to kill EVERYTHING? I got it to kill all the early spring stuff since Bermuda doesn't really grow much until it tips 80 degrees, I was looking for a good weed killer and didn't quite realize it's going to absoluetly destroy the grass too(I used it a littler under the concentration for Bermuda, which starts at 2%)@, 2,4D can be hard on it when used in high concentration (the only time it works for my yard, have some hardy and resilient every spring) but I wanted something a little stronger. Thinking I sprayed it on too late.

 

I guess thats what the lawn care companies actually use when the grass is dead(winter and early spring)? I didn't realize that, since the grass is dead anyway and I never really looked into much before, they just kill absolutely everything, then fertilizer right before the grass start growing.

Yeah, I just looked it up(just heard about it briefly)and it looks like some YouTube guys just started to spread the bad info.

The dealer may not be getting that stuff on trade. Most used cars come from auctions. When I was at Hyundai they got lots of high end stuff to bring in buyers with money as this was back when Hyundai was still pretty low end.

Yea me too, my oldest one is 11 years old, my wife drove it 5 years my daughter for 6years her son will start diving it this summer Elantra GT. The Genesis is 7 years old, my wife likes it so much she says she keeping it forever. I had a Genesis coup for 2 years traded it for a Santa Fe, I guess we'll never learn. My daughter in law uses it when she hauls my grandkids her 15 suburban is always in the shop electrical problems.

Maybe earlier depending on where and how you drive and how old your engine is. Yesterday I replaced the filter in my 2007 Cobalt with 5000 Kms ( 3000 miles ) on the clock, oil monitor read 54% and that filter weighed a ton and I'm sure it must have been plugged tight. It had a nice tar finish on the fins so I know no oil was going through that filter. Installed a new filter and topped off the oil and should be good till I change it around 10%.
